ViaSat Exede broadband internet Exede is a satellite internet service provided by parent company ViaSat. The service was launched in 2012 when the ViaSat-1 satellite was put into service. Before Exede, ViaSat offered WildBlue on an older Telesat Anik F2 satellite. In general Exede's real world performance is over 10x faster than WildBlue's. The new ViaSat-2 satellite is scheduled to be put into service later this year (2016). SKU UPC Model

it just sucks. im gonna switch service as soon as i can.
i think for $60 bucks u should be able to do anything on the net.


Exede internet

Exede was fine when I first got it but the longer I have it the worse it gets.
It's almost like they give you really good service to suck you in but once you are past your free cancellation period they cut you back drastically. In the beginning
it did very little buffering but now it will buffer and buffer until it just times out.
I am so unhappy with it that I am paying the early termination fee and getting something else next week.

DO NOT BUY EXEDE UNLESS THERE IS NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE

Unprofessional service from day 1. Cable installed through exterior Wall and projecting out into room(no connection box in wall). Very slow speeds at times and they tell me it's possibly my wireless router not there problem. Moved over 2 months ago and they will not re-install unit.so I am without service that I am being charged for. They explained to me that I have to sign a new 3 year contract and they will install a new unit. I installed old unit but they won't site it in so I can receive a signal. They flat out will not honor there contract but tell me for an additional 155 dollars I can cacel remaining contract. This is not a reputable company and after you sign a contract they could care less about customer service. Would be interested in fialing a class action lawsuit if possible?

From day 1 I was having to reboot once a day. Slowest service I ever had. Customer service Could care less ,and after 3 weeks of internet being down I was told I needed to purchase more time . CHECK REVEIWS. I am sure they make their best money thru early cancelation charges.


Going downhill fast

I got Exede about a year ago after trying Hughes for a month. It sucked. Speeds always slower than claimed or paid for. Exede rocked in the beginning. Always faster than advertised. Sure, it's sat so latency, but that is to be expected. However, after about 8 months I began to have continual dropouts. About 30% of the time I have no service. Not at one stretch but up for about 5 minutes then drops out for 2 minutes. ALL THE TIME. After over an hour on the phone, and being cut off by one of them, they refuse to acknowledge it's their problem. Yeah, right it's my router SMH. Last week I went into restriction due to reaching my data limit. Funny, it stopped dropping out all the time. As soon as my next billing cycle began and my data allowance reset, it went back to the same pattern of 5 up 2 down. Even when I have no connection the modem shows 1kBs of data being used. Same thing using direct connection from laptop into modem, bypassing my router. They still deny the problem lies with them. Like I said, in the beginning, customer service, connection reliability and speed were superior! Quick to answer phones, friendly, knowledgeable reps who were in the US. Now, who knows. I can't count on it at all. I am looking for a new service.


Don't Buy to Avoid Ever Returning

While the service was adequate during use - slow and we could NEVER STREAM because data is LIMITED; we were ALSO NEVER told that upon cancellation not only would we have to return the modem in our house, but also a small piece off of the actual satellite on the roof of our second story home within 30 days of cancellation. We do not own the type of ladder that will safely get us to the top of our second story roof and so had to makeshift a way to climb up on our stomachs. We have had multiple carriers through the years as we live in a rural area and had we known that we would be required to access this piece of equipment we would NEVER had gotten this service. They will, of course, come uninstall for a fee (which we can't afford to pay). It was a risky situation in the cold winter months. When calling to ask about it the customer service reps refused to give a name or phone number of anyone that could assist. Apparently there are no supervisors the work at Excede either. It is not worth risking your life to climb to the top of your house to remove this equipment. Never purchase this.


Data monster

Data monster is all can say? I've had to cancel all streaming products for our outdoor entertainment area! Has to be reset at least once a week and then in the evening it just gets slow! It uses data when no one is at home! I went on vacation for 7 days and had an email that had exceeded my data limit! I'm seriously considering getting something else before the contract is up and just take the $$$ whooping!


Unprofessional and Ghetto Customer Service

I called in tonight because of a security issue with my router, I simply just wanted someone to point me in the right direction of changing my password on my router and possibly looking at computers that may have been accessing my internet secretly...This is a very serious issue to me so I had called in very concerned for my online safety and just wanted someone to walk me through, point me in the right direction and etc.. so I could educate myself. The lady I spoke to, first of all, when she answered the phone, sounded VERY tired and unhappy. She was either ready to leave for the day and just didn't want to "deal" with my questions or Exede is a terrible company to work for and their employees are just overall unhappy people living in an unhappy environment. Whatever their issues are, they project it onto their customers, which is completely unprofessional! These kinds of companies obviously are not envisioning their future because ALL businesses NEED their CUSTOMERS to survive in this economy!This is why customers should be treated with empathy, compassion and respect, some traits that are missing in their employees especially the woman I spoke with tonight. She straight up responded in a ghetto way, "Well, you didn't get that router from us, so I can't help you with that!" I was shocked! the people that I've been paying for a year and a half can't even point me in the right direction???? I don't get it!!! Hire some competent people that have compassion and respect for your customers because YOU NEED US, WE DON'T NEED YOU!!! There are many other companies like you!!! I pointed out to her that for some reason there was a miscommunication between us and I asked if she could please connect me with a supervisor or a tech that may be more knowledgeable in the area I was asking about. She didn't like this so she hung up on me and when I tried to call back, I got an automated message saying their office was now closed! Rude and Unprofessional!!! Stay away from this company, I will be cancelling my account tomorrow when they are OPEN...I don't care about the cancellation fee, I just want to get rid of them, period!!!

I HAD PARTIAL SERVICE FOR ONE YEAR SUPERVISOR SENT OUT TECH DID COMPLETE NEW INSTALL PRIOR SO BAD,THEN THEY WOULD TELL YOU NO CHARGE TO FIX EQUIPMENT AND THEN SOCK IT TO YOU ON YOUR CREDIT CARD WHEN YOU CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY JUST ADVISE YOU YOU ARE UNDER CONTRACT IF YOU CANCEL OR DO NOT REGIVE CREDIT CARD INFO THEY WILL TURN YOU OVER TO COLLECTIONS VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH A VERY BAD COMPANY!!!!!!!
