Lose service everyday & Need to reset modem. Today it would not connect until I was on the phone with a tech from the Philippines for too long. She asked me duplicate questions and I had to repeat my answers. Before that I got the automated service and it said my zip code was wrong. I got a return call this evening but the call disconnected before I could talk to anyone. I returned the call but couldn't get through because the automated system said my zip was wrong, even though I confirmed it with the young lady from the Philippines.


Useless!!

I wouldn't even give this a star! The most useless internet I've ever had in my life! It doesn't even work! Started using mobile data off our phones so the internet is not even,being used but somehow we are "going over Data" which is impossible! And when we try to cancel it they tell us we need to pay 300 to cancel bc our contract isn't up when it shouldve been done with a year ago! Do not use or even tempt to buy this internet biggest regret of my life they are a JOKE!


Slowest internet ever

This internet is soooooo slow. Dial-up was much faster than this company. Very disappointed with my service. Tried to upgrade my service, but all I got was errors telling me it can't find my address, even when I'm already logged in.


Biggest mistake of my life, EVER

As no internet company services this area, I was forced to go with satellite internet. I made the fatal mistake of calling this ridiculous excuse of a company. After originally signing up for an internet phone along with internet, I cancelled the phone portion before it was installed due to the fact they lied about the price. After making numerous attempts to have the internet phone charge taken off my account, they will not even acknowledge that it's on the bill. They also state they've been trying to call me to resolve the issue for 6 weeks and they don't have my phone number. What a crock. It's in my profile in their system. Now they are threatening to turn my service off because I refuse to pay the $29.95 they charged me for the internet phone I didn't even get. I've e-mailed their cs department twice and never received a response. I guess executives at this company stay up all night reading these reviews and laughing their butts off on how badly they are treating their customers. In addition, whenever a small cloud comes over the internet goes out. Don't waste your time with this company. If you live in an area and this is the only available option, I suggest doing without internet as these creeps will make your life a living hell.

Worst mistake i have ever made. It started the day it got installed. My husband had to explain to there technician about the cables to use and tell him where to put the satillite dish (he was trying to aim in the worst area around our property). Cant use there service so pay to have there equipment sit on a desk doing nothing. They take what ever amount of money out of your bank account with no explanations as to why they deduct unexplained amounts. They were supposed to put my account on hold for 6 months and charge me 9.99 a month but took a lot more then that which caused things in my bank account to bounce which means more money i lost. I have spoke to 6 differant people.. Including supervisors.. have been hung up on... No explanations.. No resolutions... No refunds... And they want 265.00 for early termination fees??? Yeah.... Ill get right on that.... To add to my comment My company expects me to work from home and I expects my production. she had Hughes in the past with the same issues . I will take this issue further because dish and Hughes did not tell the truth on Data use I will not pay for the data use . that is Bs

I can say since I got Hughes for my internet I was lied to . I was never told there was a contract nor that my data was not unlimited. I would never went with this plan. I will do a report to the consumer complaint department and BBB . our company through Dish has cost me around $ 600 the last 2 month because I have had to keep adding data just to keep my job, at home . Not only that I also pay for net flex every month .


Feeble and Expensive

Received marginal internet service at best and when we signed up with a far superior company, HughesNet dinged us for $1242.00. If you don't sign up for crappy service in the first place you won't be penalized for bailing on them. Stay away!


So So Bad

I was told how great this was by their sales rep. I was told I could keep my own number. I was told the internet would always be fast. ALL LIES. I have their best package, after they load my account within 2 days I am out of credits and am on backup which is like dial up. I don't know how I use 60 GB in less than 2 days, but they say I do. They gave me a new Wva phone number, which would be ok if I lived in Wva. I live in Pa. and I and my wife are self employed, I had to change all my crews work shirts with the new out of state number, new checks, cards, contracts etc. about $1000 cost to me. I'm not able to download much, cannot stream videos or anything normal people do. Did a internet speed test a few minutes ago, 0.13 download. I was told by Hughesnet it would always be about 20.0-30.0! I think they might of lied about that also. There is nothing I can say about this company. I gave them 1 star and that's only because atleast they answer my phone calls before they put me on hold for 20 minutes every time.

This company was the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire adulthood! They over charged me, had horrible service, after over charging me and cancelling my service they in returned charged my credit card for the next month! With Charges of 50 dollars more then what I had originally agreed to.

1.1 5.0 418 418 Was with Hughesnet for a total of 5 years. First 2 years by contract. Last 3, month to month. When I cancelled the service to go to Starlink, they were unwilling to prorate the Hughesnet Gen4 Satellite Internet
