STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY!!!!
Worst service ever!!!! The 30 day \"risk free\" trial is a joke!!! Worked great for the first 30 days and then 6 days into my contract they tell me I used ALL my data!!! So my internet was at a slow crawl!!! I used the same electronics, etc the previous month so how could that be?!?! Now it cost me $600 to cancel which I gladly did just to be rid of it!!! Lesson learned so I hope you learn from mine!!! NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM HUGHES NET!!!!!!!

This internet service is slow. a five minute video clip to watch takes 30 plus minutes. FORGET about NETFLIX! not worth the money. We are looking to move so we can get ground internet sevices. this sucks and isnt worth your money


Bad Service

We had very bad service and paid for the most expensive package and then had to pay a $310.00 cancellation fee. We got ripped and I will never recommend this service to anyone.

We have disconnected service months ago and still being charged. Our contract was up and we moved. After not having service and getting charged from 5 dollars to this month 214 dollars after last month being promised a reimbursement, AND guaranteed that we would not be charge for a piece of equipment that THEIR installer reissued to a new customer. RIDICULOUS!!!


Can not get worse!

No stars. This company is terrible. They claim we exceed limits 20 GB within a week even if we're away or turn off services. They want us to buy more broadband and the service is rarely fast internet when it's up. Our only option is Exede and their ratings are just as bad or worse. We need more competition in rural areas because this is terrible. No stars unless we can use a negative scale, -100! Why us? Is this America?

Totally screwed me over. My account shows usage even though I moved (taking modem with me), which they attribute to a glitch. You will NOT get out of the contract, and if you move your service, they extend your contract, though moving service is "no extra charge". Customer service is the friendliest BS I've ever heard. They sound like they are helping, but don't. Period. Worst company I've ever worked with!

this is the worst service ever thy make comcast look like angels, and i hate comcast. customer service also garbage they over charged me for their equipment failure. I would not recommend this service to anyone, if you read this tell anyone you know do not use this company. Rating Zero


No Internet service for 15 months

No stars,I had 25 calls to these smucks and never had service more than 12 hours,they sent out a guy at least 5 times and I had enough 15 months later then they hit me with a huge cancellation fee then told me to send all there equipment back or they are gonna charge me for all that crap,I through it in the garbage along time ago,now they are charging me for that too,do not go with this company!!

I have had this awful service for four months they told it was unlimited service but didn't mention after about one week of usuall search and facebook, no downloading movies, games etc , that it would get soooo slow that it was unusable, it would take ten minutes to pull up one page, so nobody is going to use the internet like that. I called to cancel and they are charging me 400.00 which is ridiculous for how they portrayed the unlimited service...also they wanted to charge another 400.00 for equipment to be returned, they wanted us to climb on our rough to get a part , which I absolutely said no way, and they said there fee would be 100.00 if they had to come out , I complained and told them this was absorb they finally took that charge off at least I think my chapter of this awful company is not yet over to say if that will happen. DO NOT FALL FOR THE SALES PITCH THAT PORTRAYS UNLIMITED SERVICE!!!

The wife got this for us six months ago during one of my hospital stays that saved us some money... at a cost...hmmm. I'm an Xbox1 multiplayer type of gamer so the whole thing with the satellite internet makes multiplayer gaming impossible. I could put up with that so long as the wife is happy. Well more time for us to catch up on Netflix and such. A day of so later the buffering starts, the internet slows and wifey is unable to watch those knitting videos she likes to watch... now the proverbial sh*t has hit the fan. After months of call, complaints and frustrations I am now happy to say that I had never been so glad to see a Comcast van pull up in front of the door. I wash my hands of HughesNet.
