Satellites are impossible

I hate that the "free" subscription came with my new car. Mythical satellite radio sounds horrid. I also can't stand Howard Sternum. Anyway, I want to disable the Sirus part of this radio. Everytime they have a promotional go at nob-subscribers, my radio automatically jumps to that garbage sounding crap. It is fair to say that Sirus markets to car radio manufacturers, sells subs at cut throat rates, to chum for new subs. The product sucks. Can't even give it away.


I'm not so happy

We have been using this service for over 10 years. Over the last year and a half I have had to buy 2 radios. When I purchased my account and radio, I had no issues as far as connection. Over 10 years now I can not get a clear signal to my house. My signal antenna has been in the same spot, has not moved! Now I have bought my 2nd radio, I paid the price for it, and then I was told I had to pay $75 to have it activated!?

I had a 3 month trial for two cars once that was over I signed up for 6 months on Jan 17th - two cars for $71.17 which was charged on my credit card. I had to call 4 times to get a signal which took about a week to get the service. Then on Feb 15 my service was shut off on the one car - they said that I cancelled my service on Jan 15th? How can I do that when I didn't even have service on Jan 15th? WTF - I NEVER cancelled my service. Where is my credit on my credit card? I called and keep getting jerked around I am so DONE with these bunch of losers they call representives - they just keep transferring me to other people and I have to start all over again. This so called service is just NOT worth it.


Poor service

Parts of the northeast now have deplorable coverage. So tired of seeing "acquiring signal" on the screen and having broadcast interrupted. Called to notify that we will not renew when contract expires in one month and got a hassle. Had to finally get angry to stop the pressure. Foreign customer service agent very hard to understand. Maybe if they weren't paying Howard Stern over 50 million a year they could afford more satellites and an American call service company. Used to enjoy satellite radio, but something has changed. Absolutely would not recommend to anyone at this point in time.


Unnecessary late fees

Received trail service for 3 months with new car purchase. Wanted to extend service JUST FOR extra 3 mos for road trip in September. ASked for invoice for purchase as I did not want to give credit card. Was told would recieve invoice at end of 3 mos and not paying it would cancel service.
Received invoice in December. Did not pay, did not listen to Sirius.
Received another invoice in January with late fee charges. Called Sisirus and spoke to rep. Repeated story and was told that I had to pay the invoice for $25.74 for month of december but would waive late fee and cancel service.
Recieved invoice for $25.74 and paid immediately.
Recieved another invoice in February for LATE FEE of $5.35. Called Sirius and spoke to rep again about late fee. Was told late fee for invoice not paid in DECEMBER. Rep spoke to supervisor and came back on phone and said that late fee would be waived. I asked rep if there weren't records in computer about my JAnuary conversation about December invoice and payment of JAnuary invoice. Rep stated it was all in the computer. When questioned why I received a bill for late fee anyway, rep didn;t know.
Had I not fought for invoices as opposed to giving credit card, this fee might have been collected had I not looked at credit bill. OR
had I not paid late fee, my credit rating would have been affected as going into collection for late fee that was false.
SIRIUS did not disappoint me in trying to collect extra fees not warranted and ruining my credit rating as well.


Thieves

This company lost my payment two years in a row. The first year they admitted their mistake. The second, they claim they didn't receive. Although I have a bank receipt and had $202 stolen from me. Yes, their channels and signal is fine, I will NEVER use their service again until I am given the money they stole from me. Their representatives are very rude and difficult to understand. Terrible customer service.


Renewal interruption

Overpriced unless you have special offer. 30 days prior to renewal service is interrupted constantly with a beeping noise and a phone number pops up for you to call to renew. It happens in the middle of songs and is very irritating. The only way to stop it is to pay for additional subscription length. It interrupts service you are paying for already.


Zero Customer Service

Received a "free" 3 month trial as part of a new car purchase. Sirius did not work for 2 weeks and when it was finally fixed, they refused to honor the 3 month trial. We have Sirius on another car for years and have never experience this horrible customer service. They did absolutely nothing to try and resolve my complaint.


pressure tactics

Got an email telling me that the service was soon to expire. I contacted Sirius to verify the date of experation and was pressured to renew. When I told them that I would wait due to having month left...they shut off my service. I think the shut off was an error. When I called to find out if it could be corrected...they wanted $120.00 to turn it back on. Management was no help and only anted to renew. AVOID THIS COMPANY.


Will not honor promise

I'll keep it simple. Promised 6 months of ability to listen on my phone, it was cancelled a little after a month. Spoke with another person who refused to reinstate it and was snotty and matter of fact that she was not going to honor the promise and threw the price out there for me to accept or decline - issue finished. I declined and was left scratching my head! I don't hate anyone, but this kind of thing makes me have to repent for my thoughts!


1.4 5.0 443 443 I have had SiriusXM for 10-12 years. I enjoy the 40's Junction, 50's Gold, 60's Gold, 70's on 7, 80's Groove, SoulTown, Classic Vinyl, etc; The 40's Junction always had the automat Sirius XM satellite radio
