so much for a free two month trial

Dec 06, 2016 by Steve

I received notice that I could have a two month trial period for siriusxm. I thought great, I usually listen to Pandora but it eats into my data. I had not used xm since the initial three months after purchasing the vehicle but was very willing to give it another try. After "confirming online" the system was still not working. I contacted the number and spoke with a guy that said he had reset the system and all should be working fine. Just give it a few minutes to take effect. I waited a day. Called back and told them it was still not working. The lady "reset" it again and we held on the line to see if it worked. It did not. The next thing she said was that if I would go ahead and agree to a 6 month or 1 year subscription she could help me further. When I told her that I would rather try it for the two months as promised before making that decision she stated there was nothing more she could do for me. Looking back I guess she did plenty. She proved to me that Sirius xm is not for me. Makes me wonder if the whole "trial" thing was just a ploy to get people to call in for a sales pitch.

Poor service

Dec 02, 2016 by Larry

Bought a car with a 6 month trial. Renewed on line 1 month before trial ended. Recvd 2 emails thanking me for renewing. Sirius/XM cut my service and has no record of my renewal. Took 5 phone calls to get them to bill my card. Bottom line: Renewing online does not work. Also, their agents apparently have no access to see if an account is paid. They just kept asking me for a card number- robots. Said I wasn't going to pay twice. Sirius/XM is a company without a clue. I enjoy the programming, but dealing with them is a headache. When a competitor arrives, and it will, I will dump Sirius/XM in a heartbeat.

Charged for no service

Dec 02, 2016 by Amy

I cancelled my service about a year ago and they charged my credit card for a one year subscription anyway. I disputed the charges through my credit card company and received a refund. However, I recently logged into my account looking for a new subscription and discovered that Sirius still has the portable radio subscription as active. It is not. There has been no music coming through it, because I've checked it periodically when I tried to sell the device. The representative, Javier, refused to acknowledge that I had already canceled my service a long time ago and kept saying he would cancel it effective today. I again explained that I already did call and cancel and, even if they don't have a record of that, they should be able to see that they have not been providing any service to the radio. Then he said I have a credit on the account????

Sadly, I'm done with Sirius

Here's the deal. Sirius trains there sales people to offer you the highest price followed by lower price offers when you say "no." If you get to a price you are comfortable with and say "yes," you are in for another period until your agreement runs out at the end of whatever you agreed upon. Then they start billing you monthly on the credit card you gave them or, heaven forbid, you actually let them into your checking account. I love the service. I really do. It's the only clear signal I can get on my farm. However, it is just not worth the hassle anymore.

Pissed

I have read many reviews before i purchased this service for 103.97 for a year . I was told I will only pay this amount every year if I pay a year in advance which I did. Now I am being told that my new bill is double that price and if I don't like it then cancel which I did. Never been treated this bad by any company....so long Sirius Xm, when business dries up, this will be what happened to you when you treat customers bad and are unfair to them.

$4.00 Upgrade is Really $9.00 Package

Nov 15, 2016 by C A Weddle

I received email offer to upgrade to ALL ACCESS PACKAGE for an additional $4.00 monthly. (All the amounts quoted by me do not include taxes, and additional fees.) That would hav brought my bill to $14.99 per month. When I called to upgrade, I was told it is really $9.00 monthly to upgrade to the ALL ACCESS PACKAGE. In fairness to Sirius, the details are listed on the offer but they were not clear enough for the non-Sirius sales employee to understand - at least for me to understand. After a prolonged phone call I firmly declined the offer to pay more than twice as much as the headline on the offer indicated.

I believe I have been misled, wasted a lot of time on the phone for both the sales rep and me, and hung up the phone feeling like Sirius attempted to take advantage of me at worst, and inadvertently misled me at best. Nonetheless, I did not take the upgrade but will be subsequently canceling all my Sirius service following this billing period.

I have a lifetime membership that I purchased for $500 10 years ago. I originally had a dash unit and transferred it to a new car a few years ago. I just recently bought a new car and I was told that they cannot transfer my existing subscription to the new car and I will need to purchase a new subscription. I said that this was unacceptable and I was directed to contact the corporate office to speak to someone. I eventually got a call back and the person told me that they are WILLING to do a COURTESY transfer for $75. How can you use the word "courtesy" and "$75" in the same sentence? Unfortunately, I have no choice but to pay the $75 or lose my lifetime membership. This is bad business and they should not be permitted to work this way. Other than this hassle, I have been happy with SiriusXM

Sirius billing problems

Nov 02, 2016 by Claudia Adamek

Halfway through my Free trial, try turned off my radio. I called and they said they could turn it back on for $89 but it would be good till Oct. 2017. I said ok. Now In Oct. 2016 they charged my bank $39. After calling and talking to 2 different women for 45 min. She said I am now paid up till Oct. 2018. I said I wanted my money back and she said " ok but you wont get anymore discounts from us. " Do Not give them a debit card number.

New Car Subscription

Oct 31, 2016 by James

My customer I sold a new 2017 Ram 2500 to had SiriusXM radio free for 1 year (it comes standard on all new ram 2500's). The truck did not have a CD player, so the customer wanted to put a Pioneer CD player in the truck that cost about $500. Before he purchased and installed the CD player, he had me call Sirius and ask them if the free trial would transfer over to the new radio. The agent informed me that it would not be a problem to transfer the trial and that all the customer would have to do is call to verify the ID number and give the VIN and that would be all he has to do. After the new radio is installed, the customer called Sirius and they told him that they could not transfer the trial to the new radio and they were "sorry for the confusion". I called back myself and spoke with an agent and all she could tell me is "that agent did not know what they were talking about". Are you serious??? Now, our dealership has to pay for a year of Sirius radio for a customer because of your agent not knowing what she was talking about. In our business, when we make a mistake, we take responsibility and take care of the problem. I'll never do business with you guys in the future with my personal vehicles.
