We love the Internet services. Its the technicians that we have a problem with. When they came and installed the Dish they didn't have the hardware needed to install properly so we agreed to allow it to be installed on a tree. Now that we need it moved, 100 feet the tech told us that he did could come the next day. We had already started the move, so we called to see if they could have him come back before 5pm. Got another run around because evidently they don't know how to keep supplies in stock for there techs to be able to do their jobs. Now we have to wait another 3 or 4 days for them to get back to us. We are trying to start a business and have little time to spare! That's why appointments are made and meant to be kept! When our contract is up we will look for another service.
Exceedingly high prices for minuscule data allowances. Wow 15GB! That was a lot of data 15 years ago! I suspect that most Excede customers, like myself, only have the service because they live in the sticks and cant get DSL. (As far as rating systems go, there should be negative stars for companies like Excede.)
We had the Exede 10 GB/mo service for some time, and it worked tolerably. We switched to Evolution last month. Speed has been good, but latency is a problem. Now catastrophe has struck. The service has been down for 3 days with no evidence of restoration anytime soon. I complain each day, and was once given a $25 credit, but there's no estimate time for the service returning, and scant explanation why it's out.
I have there equipment and have to constantly reset the router. Forget about streaming movies. The internet speed is always too slow. Directv needs to find another internet partner. DON'T waste your time or money on Exede internet.
When I signed up for this service, I was told that I would be able to suspend it for 6 months each year at no cost. I am now told that I will be charged $20 per month while the service is suspended. I consider this unilateral change in my contract with Exede to be unconscionable and warn potential customers that they are dealing with a dishonest outfit.
I Have had the service for 5 days. The first day was raining and service was on and off. I didn't have much of a problem with that even though I had reception from Dish but not Exede. I Have had to reset the Modem numerous times over the last few days. Today is Christmas day and I have had to reset the modem 5 times in 4.5 hours due to dropping service. I then get a bill for $85.77 emailed to me. My representative sold me the package over the phone. I was told unlimited internet and email. I was not told that my $59.95 unlimited package only included 15 MB to stream. After only 2 days in the new billing cycle on the internet, I used 8.5 MB of 15 MB and will be looking at $9.99 per additional 1mb. This morning, I had used 8.1 MB and 4.5 hours later it was up to 8.5 MB. I did no streaming and only surfed web pages and checked my email. This is not unlimited web and email. I asked my rep what my bottom line cost would be when I signed up and was quoted $59.95. He failed to mention the $9.99 a month equipment rental fee. I called to cancel after 5 days due to poor reception, what I consider hidden charges as well as the fact the without streaming on line my MB usage is steadily increasing. I was told over $300.00 early termination fee ($15.00 dollars per month of the remaining 2 year contract). Customer service is no help. Needless to say, I am in the process of contacting my bank to dispute charges, notifying the BBB and notifying the FCC. This is the kind of stuff that brings on class action suits. Only gave 1 star because there is no negative star option.
I was lied to by the salesman multiple times. He said no contract and no setup fees. There's a 24 month contract. He said that when our limit was reached that our speeds would be reduced to slower DSL speeds. The speeds were reduced to dial up speeds. He said watching YouTube in low-res would eat up our 15gb a lot slower. It was used up in a matter of days. The service is almost unusable after the initial 15gb has been depleted. I don't know how they're measuring the data usage, but I believe it to be inaccurate. DO NOT BUY THIS SERVICE.
Do not get their internet service. it sucks
