My 2nd TV loses the "guide" option about 7 p.m.---every night. I have to unplug and reset that box. Then my main TV shuts off very single night in the wee hours. I use it as a sleep aid. So every single night I wake up and wait for it to reset. Old fashioned cable TV NEVER stopped, it ran perfectly. Newer is so not better.
I was a customer for 15 years. They constantly raised my bill each year. I would call and complain and they would ‘find’ a special offer to keep me. Last year i decided streaming was for me as I never watched 70% of the shows in my lowest tier of service. I now stream 100% and am happy. With them now rolling out 5G a word to the wise-DON’T DO IT! Unless they up their customer service and provide COMPETITIVE rates—-GO ELSEWHERE.
I've used dish tv for a few years. When frequent blackouts and general unreliability of "service" became intolerable, I endured an half-hour of elevator music ultimately ending with first, a rude, customer 'service" agent demanding an explanation for the cancellation. The barely perceptable, mousey voice required the explanation or she could not continue with the cancellation. After hearing my repeated requests to speak to a supervisor or manager, Becky asked the same question. An observation is that this explanation does not benefit me; it benefits them. It seems usury to require personal information before a "service" provider will release its prey.
The second agent finally understood that I would not provide an explanation and interrupting her recital of the exciting and highly desirous plans just waiting for me, I was informed that I must pay an eighty dollar ($80.00) cancellation fee. Further, dish would charge me fifteen dollars ($15.00) to send me a pickup box for their three (3) or four (4) year old equipment. Apparently, if I again become ill and am unable to return their hi-tech equipment, they'll make an additional charge of up to three-hundred ($300.00) and change if not returned within 15 days. Plus, I get to deliver the sealed box tot he carrier. There is no pick-up service afforded me for my fifteen dollar ($15.00) charge.
I become ill at age 74. That's the way it is and little can prevent it. I am VA rated at 70% disabled though fairly slow and broken, I'm just fine but for a lack of sleep. Sure, boo -hoo for me but facts are facts.
dish tv really must need my money, I don't. Gas and food costs must plague dish tv, the poor guys! They've increased my rate over the years, apparently believing that my social security and Veteran's disability payments would increase. Guess what....
Were I aware of what these 'people' are fundamentally and sorely lacking in integrity, I would have avoided any contact whatsoever. Oh, I so wish I had!!
Live out in the country so a satelite was only option Have been a long time customer signal is still poor we have trees but every year or two prices increase 20-30Local telephone company went fiber optics 250Mbs outstanding quality Phone internet tv for 150 that was my dish bill alone. Would think they would give lower rates ti good custoners BUT NO discounts for vets I'am older folks 75 give you good rates for 6 month then BAM the increases start. WELL GOOD BYE DISH you have gotten enough of my money
Dish network is a greedy piece of junk company they don't give a crud about loyal customers like myself when I was with their company since 2009 I called them in the middle of May 2020 and they said that they would cover the current bill and suspend the account due to the coronavirus pandemic and their employee didn't do his job and put it in the notes for the call. After calling them 6 times and being told that they couldn't do anything about it (like be a decent human being and take care of their customers) I had to disconnect the account and they sent the bill to collections less than 1 month after canceling the account now I have to pay 96 dollars for the collection agency fees in addition to the final bill that I never received (and this caused my credit score to drop by 30 points) .I suggest that everyone would disconnect their account because they will screw you over let's show them that they will loose much more money since that's all they care about Please share the heck out of this let's go viral with this and send them a message that they cannot do the right thing and care about their customers more than money
When I moved to a new home and got my dish installed, I was offered to purchase a wireless box. I was never told that my monthly bill will be the same as as if I'm renting it. They still charge me for using the purchased box. I called and asked the customer service what the benefit would be for purchasing it, then she said I get to keep it when I cancel Dish. Why would I want to keep it after I cancel it?? No use. They tricked me; I spent unnecessary money.
We have had dish network going on 4 years now. Over the years our bill has increased and we just kept paying the bill. We started out paying $160.00 no internet included. Tonight we called in for an issue and the automated recording said that our balance of $210.00 would be due in a few days. We have never been late paying our bill. This increase now when people are under mandatory stay home. What a great time to raise the bill. Now that we are watching tv more than ever. I suppose that is the appreciation for being a loyal customer of 4 years. We were forced to cancel all of the channels we watched the most because $210.00 for a hooper and two Joeys and that does not include internet. Is too much. We dealt with the no HBO and the anxiety over if we would be able to watch the Cowboys. I honestly am disgusted and hope you lose all your customers.
I mailed my payment the day after I received it as usual with another bill. Yet when I received this month's bill it had a previous balance and a late fee. I queued onto a live chat with the worst rep I have ever had with them and thats really saying something. After waiting for more than 30 minutes he claimed the payment wasn't received and the late fee was because I wasn't able to pay the bill. The nerve of that little fuck completely enraged me. I have never made a payment late to these bastards. I don't believe the payment was lost, the other bill was received on time. I think the payment was trashed so they could charge a late fee. Before I could finish my response on the chat, he ended it because it had been more than 3 minutes since my last interaction. My region is still blacked out of fox regional sports since July but there have been no credits on the bills. I never waste my time complaining about service the companies don't care but if this keeps even one person from getting dish it will be well worth the time. If I could give a negative star I absolutely would.
I called because I want one station CNN removed and was told I would lose 300 channels! I should not have to pay for a station I find offensive. Will not renew when my time is up will find a company I can be more selective with
Dish Network has partnered with Google to sell the Nest. I purchased the Nest doorbell on Oct 20, 2019. The install was flawed, indoor chime doesn't work, won't pair with Alexa, sound is garbled. Dish tech was useless and didn't return calls. Called Dish customer support on Dec 6,2019, said my 30 days was up to return and to call Google to address issues. I was provided not documentation, no registration, info, nothing at all to prove to Google that I purchased this item and Dish no help. :bo
