ViaSat Exede broadband internet Exede is a satellite internet service provided by parent company ViaSat. The service was launched in 2012 when the ViaSat-1 satellite was put into service. Before Exede, ViaSat offered WildBlue on an older Telesat Anik F2 satellite. In general Exede's real world performance is over 10x faster than WildBlue's. The new ViaSat-2 satellite is scheduled to be put into service later this year (2016). SKU UPC Model

service never worked

man installed service on Friday afternoon. Called him back because service not picking up speed < 1. He told me he would get back to me and never called back. Monday came needed internet. Had to hook up old service, called Excede to complain about service. Was told sorry you signed contract, we can't control the weather and you can buy out your contract if your not happy. Needless to say no one came out again to check service. It has been hooked up for 3 days not able to use. Also buyer be aware there is a limit at how often you can use it a month. Not a good option for any business that needs 8 hrs of service a day.

I called to arrange for disconnect of our service as we will be moving out of our house in one week. I repeatedly explained that, and that, no, I don't want to move my service etc. Some mumbling occurred; I told 'David at extension 93261', that if that was supposed to be a disclosure, he had failed as I couldn't understand a word he said. At the end of the call, David tells me my service is now terminated. I said no, not today, this is for December 2. He said you will have to call back on December 2. I said 'Fine, I'll call back 12/2'. Disconnect had already occurred, no one will reconnect without our agreeing to a two year term. This is the second time I have had poor employee interactions with Exede employees. I have repeatedly requested the supervisors to listen to the recordings of the interaction. What a scam, and for service so poor I cannot even 'stream' a video. And two separate employees telling me that I had not completed my two year contract and would have early termination fees. Thankfully, I have my work order showing two years fulfilled in full! They had to back down on termination fees. On my list now...thankfully, it's very short so easy to remember!

doesn't even deserve a star, I have to call them every month to fix a bill or straighten out my account, got charged for an early termination fee that was invalid then was told I was getting2 months free, well still have yet to see that 250 back for early termination mistake on the behalf plus the 80 they owe for the months service and overdraft on my account do not use them ever counting down the days before I can cancel them

I call custermer service and put on hold for 30 mins.they say they will send a tech out and going to charge me 100 dollars for there shitty service and this is the 9th call in in the last 90 days..did speed test got download of .98mb and upload of .18 and I gave it a 1 star but honestly it does not deservive 1 star and in the morning I am calling the us attorney generals office to sue them for fraud and misrepprentation,they say 20 times dsland being able to surf the web and email and watch video's and I had the 25gig package and got ripped off for sure after they tell me they would sue me if I left befor the 2 years was up

I would give it negative stars if I could. Before getting Exede, I used a hotspot with a 5 gig limit and rarely used my limit. After getting Exede I consistently run out of 10 gigs in approx 2 weeks. My usage has not changed, no gaming or movies, just surfing the net.

I contacted Exede and they were only able to give me generalities regarding my usage, such as "You must have downloaded videos", or "you must have updated software". There was one month when my 10 gigs were exhausted in a couple of days. I bought an additional gig which was nearly exhausted by the next day. Not only could they not tell me why the drain but told me I had not used the system in 24 hours when I had. They gave me another gig no charge which, of course, was inexplicably exhausted in two days.

Since they cannot account for the usage except in general terms you simply have to "trust them." The hotspot was faster than the Exede service, even when I have not exhausted my gigs. It is a horrible system.

This is crap ! It hasn't worked good since it was installed ! I called (within 3 business days), to cancel but they will charge me for dropping it! I had better speed & service from a dial-up. Sometimes it won't even connect! Customer service also sucks ! Your better off getting a dial-up service, it looks like that's what I'll have to do. It's a good thing I never dropped my Verizon WiFi, although they gouge you with the gigabyes, at least I can still use my computer. So now I have two internet services that are costing me big time !

[...] Previously had wild blue and service was terribly,slow downloads even if we had service. Thats when we decided to get the internet through DirecTv and save money by bundling. Come to find out after two months of still getting a bill from wild blue and actually getting to talk to the right person that they are the same company and we even told them we had wild blue and were not happy. Since i was2 months in i would have to pay an early cancellation fee.know i\'m days away from the 2 year contract,the internet is suspended for nonpayment and its automatically taken from my account.CAN\'T WAIT TO CANCEL! I only marked a1 star because i had too.

The issue is simply that when we signed up for service I was told that 20 gig would be MORE than enough to surf the web, run my iTunes or my Netflix ETC and that is not the case. We are only home during the week after 5 pm and on the weekends and we had already reached our limit by day 16. Obviously the person that sold the product to us did not know anything about what he was talking about. Now that we are stuck in a 2 year contract we can’t do any of the things that we enjoy without being stuck worrying about going over our DATA.
OR we can purchase MORE data which is at double and triple the original cost. With that being said this was a gross misrepresentation of what this company offers. Now granted I didn’t know what a “gig” consisted of either but that is why I being a consumer calls them RIGHT? They have sent me emails on how to lock down my password and best times to download movies etc.
The problem is not a password, or staying up till midnight to stream a movie that I want to watch. Its being taken advantage of.

This is the worst internet service ever. Slow connections and poor customer service. They tease you with attractive price but when you have to add data the deal is not a deal. The only way you know if it will work for you is to give it a try. When you find out how horrible it is and wish to cancel, they try to charge a cancellation fee. If the service was good, they would not need you to sign a contract because you would not want to cancel.

I have had excede for 22 months, my internet stop working, I called exceed they had me shut it down reboot ect. finally after about a 1/2 hour they decided to schedule me an appointment 4 days later my wife stays home to wait for them they said they will be here between 8am-12am. At 1140 am my wife calls exceed they had no Idea where the tech was they said they have sent him messages. At about 1;30 PM my wife calls back they said they still haven't heard from the driver they sent him her home and cell numbers. Still no answer. I was at work I checked my phone the tech called me around 3:30pm on my cell he left a massage stated my gate was closed we need to reschedule. My wife was out front cutting grass he didn't try to get her attention. This was on Saturday Monday I called to canceled. Tuesday they still haven't had me canceled yet then they charge me early termination fee. I had paid them 6 months in advance they stated they only owe mw 32 dollars its been 2 months they still haven't paid. I call them back today they stated they have to send my account to a review board to see if I can get it back. still waiting
