ViaSat Exede broadband internet Exede is a satellite internet service provided by parent company ViaSat. The service was launched in 2012 when the ViaSat-1 satellite was put into service. Before Exede, ViaSat offered WildBlue on an older Telesat Anik F2 satellite. In general Exede's real world performance is over 10x faster than WildBlue's. Declined Their Service

Called Direct TV about some other issue and then spoke with them about finding a different company to use for internet and wireless with more speed. They told me they could send out ViaSat who had more speed and was cheaper. We setup an appointment for ViaSat to come on Monday the 11th and Exede came instead. They insisted on a 3 year contract, the rates would go up and the speed down??? Told them to leave we were NOT using them?? I still have no clue as to who they are and how we got them??? Thankful we don't have them...was very sneaky!


long wait to speak to CS

The speed is ok, 2.9 mb download, 1.1 upload. It is advertised to be 12 MB so it is not true.
It appears my account was just "slammed" by dish.com as my internet service stopped working, I was getting redirected to mydish.com and it says my account was suspended. I got the same message on all PCs and my tablet and phones. I called Exede and after about 35 mins it got resolved.


RUN THE OTHER WAY!

Its slow and confusing. It was so slow I called customer service who connected me to technical support. After waiting for an tech person for 30 minutes the woman I spoke to kept me on the phone for over an hour and a half talking "shop talk" and trying to be inimidating by making derogatory comments about people who don't understand internet service. She then went on to tell me all these technical steps about unplugging cables and reconnecting to monitor usage. It was a nightmare and I wanted to shoot myself to get off the phone. She then went on to say my service may be slow because I used up my data. Then I had to hear how different times of the day I will pay more than other times and that it may also be slow if a lot of people in my area are on the internet. I was with Cox Cable for 25 years and was used to paying a flat fee for fast unlimited internet service and it didn't matter how many neighbors were using the internet. I also could see why I had to hold on the phone for 30 minutes to get a rep. since she kept babbling on for an hour and a half then pointing out how great the customer service was since she talked to me so long. I had to upgrade my service to get "faster" internet. The change in speed was minimal at best.

The service goes out frequently I am resetting the system at least twice a week The speeds are questionable when service is down you do no get credit for down time I have been very frustrated with the service


Excede

Exede plan started under $35 monthly. We only had usage for a week, we continued to increase data plan to $76.10 a month. We would only have service sporadic about 3 weeks. Contacted Excede and discontinued our plan and continue to get billed monthly with a deduction from our checking account. Customer service continues to tell us they have no record of us disconnecting service! We will file a complaint with better business bureau.


BUSINESS NOT DONE THE AMERICAN WAY

I originally had Wild Blue - who had awesome customer service. Then along came Exede which caused Wild Blue customers to "upgrade" for better service. - I MISS WILD BLUE ALL TOGETHER.
-Customer Service - You have to wait on hold for eternity to get in contact with a rude person that does not have sympathy regarding your issues.
- When they have a scheduled outage, you just all of a sudden lose your connection. First time you call customer service, they try to tell you that the problem is with your computer - reboot, unplug, hope for the best, then nothing. - Hang up, call back to speak with someone else, they say yes you have a planned outage in your area, no idea when it will be fixed, good luck and thank you for being a valued customer. I am paying for a continuous service, if the service is not available or down for a planned outage - give me credit on my bill.
- Usage meter has as much lag time as their down/upload speeds. Check it consistently and have to guesstimate because it is 24-36 hours behind.
- Customer service promised great benefits for moving from Wild Blue to Exede. I asked them to send me the fine print details in hard copy, they stated not an option. I then requested for the same in e-mail form. "No, this information will be available on line with your installing technician on your computer screen which you then sign on-line with him present. I came so close to running my tech off because he was impatient with me for taking a screenshot of everything for my records. It did not matter though because they had already charged my card.
- This company should offer a money back trial period but they will not because they will loose too much business because consumers will see them for what they really are.


WORST SERVICE & CUSTOMER SERVICE

I worked in customer service for almost 5 years & have never lost patience or my temper with any company before.. until now.

I had this service for over a year (not by choice) and after a month I couldn't wait to get rid of it! I was told false information on how the service would work. ie: I would be able to stream internet. FALSE. I made it through 1 hour show & my entire data usage was used up. I only kept it because how much I would be charged (eventhough I complained a not even a month in they wouldnt budge)

CANCELLED IT FINALLY! When I moved to my new home. I was charged x amount of dollars for every month I had left on the contract. BEST THING I DID.

BUT THEN a month later I look at my bank account and they took out over $300 for non returned equipment (which was already en route to them) They wouldn't refund until the package was delivered. I was told it would be 3-5 business days then the next day I was told 3 days for "review" that it was recieved and then 7-14 business days before i would recieve my money back.. when they had never sent me a last bill, and they should not be able to access my account after a cancellation. I've blocked them from my account. DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND. EVERY TIME YOU CALL YOU GET A DIFFERENT ANSWER.

Two feet from middle window instead follow over hang
Too the corner down spout for gutter down drain.
So two feet from window in middle of house
You have a black cable running to ground level on tan
Siding. Looks terrible


Terrible service!!!

I have had the internet for years but have never had a service as awful as Execede! We signed up for direct TV and they bundle with exceed. They came out to hook up the router we had to purchase at walmarts and the kid doing it did not know what he was doing and set it up so that anyone in the neighborhood could sign on to our internet. My husband went and bought a different router to take care of that and hooked it up himself. Then the bill is not due until the 3rd of the next month but they slam us with a payment the next day and overdraw our checking account! So my husband got a different debit card so they cant automatically withdraw the payment from our account. So he calls execede today to make a payment and they tell him they won't come out and work on the equipment if we don't do automatic withdrawal. Also he can't pay the bill until tomorrow because it doesn't come out until then but the guy on the phone told him how much the bill would be yesterday. I hate working with stupid people and this company takes the cake!


Slowest internet on earth

I recently moved to NC and was told no cable service where I live, so got this by default. Just tried to download a game and play it and it usually takes 3 minutes. I said 5.9 hours, I thought it was a mistake until it said 1% downloaded after 30 minutes, now I can't use my computer to play games at all, which is why I got it. This is like 1980 dialup, but slower. Definitely the worst internet service ever. And can't cancel without ridiculously high 485.00 charge. Should be against the law.


1.2 5.0 1231 1231 having seriouse speed issues, complained to company they schedualed a technician to come gave a 3 hour window for the tech to be there, waited the 3 hours then called and they said Exede broadband internet
