Ok, I used to do tech support for them (circa 2007/2008) and the part I hated the most is that the sales people would flat out lie to the customers, sign them up with the contract and then I had to deal with the people yelling at me that they can't game/use voip etc. After working for them, I would rather use smoke signals than a satellite internet company.

Terrible Service/overcharge

Terrible internet speed. Had me on Liberty Pass half way through month and I don’t do anything but email and internet use. Live in rural area and never received improved speed after complaining. Last check before cancelling service was at a 6 speed. Overcharge for under delivery! Bad customer service. And, the cancelling of service is a whole new form of customer abuse. Have waited a week for return box, get to climb up on the roof to retrieve their outdated equipment, pack it up and return, or you get another $300 charge. This company needs better management. Run...fast!

Stay away from Viasat

I see I’m not the only one who was ripped off by them. No wonder their always changing their name. I switched to another satellite service with 1/15th the data allowance I had with them and have not used anywhere near the data they claimed I was using and I’m paying less than 1/2 what they were charging. I can even stream movies without buffering now. It’s so nice not having to reset my modem every couple of days and hoping i didn’t have to call customer support. The only reason I gave them one star was because I had too or I wouldn’t be able to submit this review.

Crooks stay away

Thought this was my only option for internet they lied to me. Wave was in my area in conway wa. They got a hold of my debit card and charged me 360.00 i already returned everything. Only had it one month terrible service. They are a big scam dont do it. Wave is the best.

My mother passed away and had WildBlue service. We sent in the modem and satellite part. They tried to charge her account for the satellite part $159 and overdrew her account and bank charged my dad an overdraft fee. Called them and they "found" the part that i supposedly did not send in. They are only refunding my dad the $150 that they managed to get out of my deceased mothers account, which i believe is illegal, and won't reimburse the overdraft fee, when it was their fault that they did not record the return of equipment properly. I think i will be reporting them to the BBB and having my dad talk to him lawyer.

Stay away crooks

From install to 4 days later nothing but issues started out the initial install was on wrong day but made it work installer was trying to charge me for install wich cinsited of a 10 soller fence pole from home depot he wanted 80 dollers thwn couldnt talk to anybody in customer service everytime i called they were rude and said i was buying services froom there partners they couldnt help me 4 days later and im stil getting hung up on now im charged 71.00 on my accounf for what nobody can answer and i didnt authirize this charge and explaining to woman on phone and myateriously i got hung up on please find internet somewere else customer service here sucks

Highway Robbery

Just cancelled ViaSat / Exede / Wild Blue or whatever they call themselves now. Worst service I ever had. Two days after the bill, the data is completely used. WHAT?? I can't even use wi-fi on my phone because it freezes my phone up. After a year of basically dishing out 70 bucks a month for 2 days of S-L-O-W internet I am done! I paid my bill on the 8th and cancelled on the 12th...no prorated refund...money just gone. Ridiculous! They want me to climb on the roof to retrieve their equipment they installed...NOPE!

They are trying to charge me $165 to cancel and $125 to send someone to get on the roof. Don't waste your time. This company is a complete joke and robbing people blind!

I service with this company, which was horrible. I called customer service when I started looking for new service to see if there was a disconnect fee. I was told no, by the customer service person.The next month I changed 120.00 and last month I was changed 169.00. This is crazy I live on a budget.

Exede/Wildblue is the worst company ever!

We had Exede at our old home with no problems. We transferred service with them to our address in another town & it's a nightmare! Our autopay account has been continually bombarded with fraudulent charges. Everything from having two accounts to unreturned equipment. We tried "uncustomer service" who swore they had our account corrected (approximately 10 times). Then they try sticking the same things back through our autopay over & over. We started sending emails so we would have records of Exede's illegal activities/charges as proof in case we had a file a complaint. Exede docs disappeared from our computers. We appear to have been "blocked" from filing online complaint forms. Luckily, we had made hard copies of most the paperwork & husband filled out complaints via his work computer. Keep FAR away from this company's illegal, immoral & frustrating way of doing business. If you are currently experiencing problems, record customer service calls & make hard copies of all contact. File a complaint with the FTC, ATTORNEY GENERAL.

if you are fed up with dish, I beg you not to have anything to do with hughesnet. they are worse. are all of these companies just out to scam the consumer? can anything be done to stop them?....probably not! be warned!
