ViaSat Exede broadband internet Exede is a satellite internet service provided by parent company ViaSat. The service was launched in 2012 when the ViaSat-1 satellite was put into service. Before Exede, ViaSat offered WildBlue on an older Telesat Anik F2 satellite. In general Exede's real world performance is over 10x faster than WildBlue's. Exedes in horrible customer service

I overpaid for horrible internet that started out fast but was horrible for the next 20 months,also made the mistake of porting my phone # that Ive had for 30-some years to them only to cancel today and find out I can't keep my number!! They were supposed to advise me before disconnecting that I should port my # first but did NOT so now they offer to hook me back up WITH a new 2 year contract to get my number back!!!!!!!! His company more than disappoints!!! I wish I could sue them!!! HORRIBLE. It won't let me give less than one star 🙁

I wouldn have given -0- stars if I could. I was paying $80.75 a month for wifi that didn't work and internet usage data sucked. couldn't even watch Netflix. Called to cancel and couldn't remove my credit card on file. They threatened to use my card for the cancellation fee without my authorization. Asked to speak to a supervisor and they put me on hold and forgot about me. Worst service EVER!!!!

I have to put a star in here to write a review, but if I had a choice I'd make it a minus 5 star. This is the worst internet provider possible. They should be sued for stealing our money. I kept paying more and more money to try and recieve some sort of wi fi. I'm now paying $110 a month and we still cant get service.
I think I will take them to court. They are THIEVES!


Very Unreliable

Again, just went 4 days with about a 28k connections, that is 1/2 of dial up, like using a modem with a bad phone line.
Sadly, about 20 days a month its better then dial up so I have no choice but to keep it. My kids have lots of homework that needs done online.
I hope you have other choices, if so, choose one of them.

Horrible internet service. Was not done with contract but was very happy to dump it even though it cost money. STAY AWAY!!!

All of a sudden out of the blue I have used up all my Internet in three weeks for the last 3 months. This is BS. I don't steam movies, play games, etc. Just Face Book and one site I Blog on. They refuse to provide any proof of my usage or where I agreed to a contract change where my usage was limited and I had to buy more Internet space. Their employees (call center) are rude and not helpful. I can't wait to get rid of them.


Don't go with Exede!!!

I'm a network engineer and have serious doubts about how they measure bandwidth. I monitor my usage and its significantly less than what they charge for. They have no service provider within 100 miles of Knoxville. Their phone support is worthless and just try to sell you more services.
After many calls about bandwidth they seemed to agree that usage was in error, and sent new firmware for the satellite modem, that seemed to cure for awhile and they credited me $50. But... a few months later, the problem is back. I'm canceling later this month. I suspect all providers of Satellite internet have service issues and the network latency is terrible but part of distance the signals travel. I hope for a fair billing and some local service.

Worst "internet" EVER. I literally can't even use it. My download speed is always a 0.92. I paid for it on a Monday the guy didn't get to my house to set it up til Friday, then he didn't even give me a wife router he just gave me a modem. So I had to wait another week before I even had wifi. So there's 2 weeks right out of the gate I paid and couldn't even use it. Then when it is set up, I still can't use it!!!! I wouldn't let my dog use this internet even if it was free. Do not purchase this internet. You will literally be paying for absolutely nothing. Just get directtv or dish don't waste your time on this garbage.


EXEDE Internet - THINK AGAIN.

Bought service. Paid in full ($299.99) for lifetime use of the equipment. My data usage was too much. I disconnected service. Returned all equipment that i paid lifetime rental fee for using. EXEDE WILL NOT REFUND MY $299.99 for the equipment that i am not using. Will not pro rate the cost for renting equipment. called 3 or 4 times. Waited more than 2 months. Denied a refund because my account is no longer active. TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. SHAME. SHAME. Shame on you Exede.


Worst Internet Company

This company is absolutely garbage.
They assured 5MB/sec internet, but we consistently get 0.22MB/sec. When we called we were told that the contract states "up to 5MB/sec" and that we had to deal with it. Power goes out? so does their towers - no internet. Worst customer service ever - not helpful and impolite. Want to cancel? you'll have to pay the termination fee AND get the equipment off of your roof yourself or they'll charge you $300. Better Business Bureau has been notified. I wouldn't take their service if they paid me.


1.2 5.0 1231 1231 having seriouse speed issues, complained to company they schedualed a technician to come gave a 3 hour window for the tech to be there, waited the 3 hours then called and they said Exede broadband internet
