ViaSat Exede broadband internet Exede is a satellite internet service provided by parent company ViaSat. The service was launched in 2012 when the ViaSat-1 satellite was put into service. Before Exede, ViaSat offered WildBlue on an older Telesat Anik F2 satellite. In general Exede's real world performance is over 10x faster than WildBlue's. The new ViaSat-2 satellite is scheduled to be put into service later this year (2016). SKU UPC Model

Works poorly

Latency causes big issues, even web compression schemes like 'Opera' browser (recommended by Exede) barely works with their signal. Streaming? - forget it. DSL streams no worse. Tablets are a bust, laptops barely better. I've less than half the contract left, and can't wait to bolt. AT&T wireless finally looks attractive - who knew?

No cinnecttivity

Got connected in mid sept. Nextflex rarely works. Very very slow have not seen bil can't set up inline acct . Will eat my buyout and give them free bad advertising

This is by far the absolute worst company that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. $70 a month for slow service that is capped at 10GB. After that it is too slow to even web surf. They never got my online account to work. I called 3 times to get it working and was told they have to "elevate" the problem and would call me back. Don't waste your money!!!!!


Horrible Internet

Internet is so slow dial up was quicker. If I had only knew I would have kept GVTC cant even watch Netflix with out it buffering every few seconds. Dont have the funds to cancel UGH!

Worst company ever! We got this installed because i bought a house out in the "country," apparently, and thought this was my only option. It wasn't, but I'll get to that later. In the less than 30 days i had this joke of an internet company, i made 3 service calls to tell them that my internet was not working. Every time they said, "we see no problem on our end." They never once offered to send a tech out. My data also somehow got used up in less than a week, and no one was even home. I called them to turn off the service because i did figure out another option (paying for extra data on my phone and setting up wifi hotspots when i need them), i asked them if we could negotiate the buyout since i hadn't even paid my first bill yet and that their service doesn't work. The guy i talked to was nice enough but he was just a grunt and didn't have that power to negotiate. I asked to speak to a manager. She got on and totally started in on me on how my reason was not good enough for them to negotiate anything, and she was a total "B" about it. I said, "My internet hasn't worked for almost a week, how is that not a good enough reason?" She just said that it wasn't. She then had the gall to ask me if I still wanted to turn it off. I said, "(Expletive) right I do." Needless to say, they made me pay the full buyout which turned out to be $15 per month for every month left on my contract. I still had 23 out of the 24 months left. You do the math. I hate this place and feel sorry for anyone who has their service. If I could give negative stars, I would.


TERRIBLE SERVICE

worst internet ever! we always had problems we would use all our "data" and not even be home and then be put on the liberty pass and then it doesn't function at all, or we would have some of our data and the internet still not function. the company is ridiculous and rude! i would call to ask why and they would say they wouldn't know or they could send out a technician but it would cost $150.00. when i finally went to disconnect i got what my final bill would be and but she couldn't tell me a exact price it would be this... plus tax and then i said fine can i pay it today and she said no! can you believe that i have never had a company not let me pay my bill i was told that the final bill blank plus tax would come out from my payment method on file on the 4 of oct 2016 i said ok but i'd like to pay it now and she said well i can delete that payment method then you can pay it any way you want but i you'll be sent to collection for non payment! i mean like what the hell? company is the worst and rude and disrespectful. at the end of my disconnect is said i guess leave my payment method on file and she ok and then HUNG UP ON ME!!!! how terrible are these people i mean honestly don't recommend them what so ever!!!


Poor quality and customer service

This company deserves no rating. They have sales people that scam you by making empty promises to get you connected. The phone service you pay for never works. The internet service works for 1 day then they say all your bytes are used up. Then you try to cancel and they have all kinds of fees and conditions. They know they are wrong when they allow you out of your contract but still charge you money. I have tried repeatedly to get help from customer service but they are only out for their company. I am escalating my complaints to the BBB and my attorney.


very unhappy.. keeps slowing down and saying used all the bytes when hardly used.

I, hardly use the internet during the day and it says that I went past the limit, and it slows down slower than dial up! would never recommend to anyone! if there were a "0" star rating that's would have been my choice.


Regretting my decision

Had roof work done on 9-23. They took down the satellite and put it back up. It's not in alignment. Called to schedule a service call with Johnson Communications via Excede. The next time they have a tech in our area is Oct 5th. Said they had went to the Iowa state fair and had an overwhelming response, that's why they couldn't get to me in a timely fashion. So...you take care of new customers before restoring power to existing ones? Yep!


1.2 5.0 1231 1231 having seriouse speed issues, complained to company they schedualed a technician to come gave a 3 hour window for the tech to be there, waited the 3 hours then called and they said Exede broadband internet
