ViaSat Exede broadband internet Exede is a satellite internet service provided by parent company ViaSat. The service was launched in 2012 when the ViaSat-1 satellite was put into service. Before Exede, ViaSat offered WildBlue on an older Telesat Anik F2 satellite. In general Exede's real world performance is over 10x faster than WildBlue's. We googled this service, it said it would be $49/month + $10/month for the boost 25 + wifi. We called to order the service which the man also said that it would be that same price. Our first bill was $79.-- and our second bill was $70.--.. I am Deaf so my daughter had to call for me. We called once we got the first bill to question why our bill was so high. The man wouldn't talk to my daughter at first and told her to tell me to go online to look at my bill because they have to talk to me. She explained over and over that I am Deaf and cannot talk to them on the phone. Finally after I had to verbally tell them my name and information, they agreed to talk to her. They told her that the plan i have is a promotion and other stuff. She explained that she has screenshots and was looking at the website the same time that she was on the phone with them. The customer service representative said that the website was misleading. He actually said it mulitple times on the phone with us. We requested to speak to a supervisor. The man kept typing away on his keyboard without getting us a supervisor. After about 15 minutes of waiting and constantly asking for a supervisor, we hung up. We called again and got a woman. She said that the boost 25 is $10/month and wifi is $10/month. (The website says $10 for both) They also said that our plan already has $20 off per month for the first 3 months and that once the first 3 months are up, our bill will be $99+/month. We never ordered this plan, we were told different information, the website is misleading with different prices, and they will not do anything about it. I have to use VRS (video relay services) to call places using an interpreter, the speed (even with the boost 25) is not enough to even begin the call. We are angry, displeased, and unsatisfied.

Checked my online billing on the 11th of july showed no bill or Balance due. Last night at 4:26pm they sent me a paperless statement that my bill was available. Woke up this morning to the money being withdrawn from my account without me having a bill. They said my bill is due on the 12th well you can't send me out a bill on the day it is due and expect the money to be there the day the bill is sent and it's due that same day.

Major scam regarding data usage. I went through 15 GB of data in days even when gone with router and computer OFF! advertised speeds were never received even when not in data restriction. Wanted techs to come out to realign dish. $100-150 fee. That is unreasonable. I went back to Verizon MiFi for the past three months and now consistently use 6-8 GB per month at HIGHER speeds. Stay away. VAs attorney general should investigate this out of control company.

Omg...signed up with directv as bundle...So directv sent them....internet never worked from the start..called directv they didn't want to hear it not responsible for internet svc even if they did set it up....called company which I did numerous times each rep worst then the previous...was told by a rep "you people" what does that mean you people and hung up on me...I called back to speak to supervisor...was waiting over 15min. Nat the supervisor was just as useless as his reps. He must do the training or lack of trainning...close to 500.dollars later not even a month into service I had to pay to get out of contract I never signed with them...had to pay for router cause apparently they don't supple that with service. They however don't inform the customer you need router..after cancellation I was informed to climb on roof and remove some piece off the dish...what.. Unbelievable but true...so when I told Nat how crazy that was he told me to have a friend maybe a neighbor climb up there and remove this for me cause if not i would be charge for keep this...I told him how come they don't have their people who installed this and do this for a living remove this...He wanted to charge me 95 dollars to have someone come and remove this..So went from bad to worst in less then 1 month... This company is running a scam I believe this is how they are supporting staying in business cause clearly it's not for outstanding business.. Stay Away.. From both directv and the want to be internet company EXEDE...they are scamming hard working people.

No stars for this sorry company .direct tv hooked me up with these folks what a joke wouldn\'t download nothing with out buffing for 5 minutes but they said everything working great I told them I was unsatisfied still made me pay 332.00 to get out of a sorry contract something should be done with these people.

Stay far away from exede over priced and is slow as can be . So slow to the point do even us it with our cell phones the download times drop. On laptop it will make you want to throw them . Slow and useless save your self and don't be tricked into getting it with direct tv .

I was tricked into getting Internet with this company and direct TV at the same time. The agreement was with direct TV and some how this company claimed that I got into an agreement with them when I never signed anything. Direct TV never delivered in the bundle. So I canceled everything and in the end this company charged me well over 400 dollars.

This is a positive review as for someone with no other options. If you have alternative then of course that is a better option. This day and age no one even on cell phones should be capped for usage. That being said, I burn through my data in 2 days usually all 10 gigs. After that they throttle down but I still do have service without additional charge that i would otherwise have if i relied on verizon hotspot. Latency is high and speeds are slow but still better then nothing. I advise going with lowest package as you will use your alloted data quickly no matter what package you choose. If you choose to live rural for whatever reason i say beggers can\'t be choosers. I did research as well and i understood other satelite companies cut you off so i went with exede.

Never buy this. They make it sound useable with an aggressive sales pitch, but 7 days in it is completely unusable. I swear this company must make most of its money on cancellation fees (almost $400 to get away from the "slow death internet" they sell. Under no circumstances should you buy this product

This is one of my worst mistakes, invalid data usage. Only recourse is to pay them $300. early termination fee or continue to pay $80. each month, which is $60. more than I was early to my other internet provider, which I had no data limitations. They only care about the dollar not their reps or their customers satisfaction. Beware, run, do not sign up with them. Had to give one star or it would not allow me to post this review, that\'s even crooked......
