ViaSat Exede broadband internet Exede is a satellite internet service provided by parent company ViaSat. The service was launched in 2012 when the ViaSat-1 satellite was put into service. Before Exede, ViaSat offered WildBlue on an older Telesat Anik F2 satellite. In general Exede's real world performance is over 10x faster than WildBlue's. Guy shows up with an antique router and when we told them we want wifi he laughs and says he has one on his truck for 65.00 and for a fee he will set it up for us. This company is a joke and take advantage of you because no other company in area. We have no other option. If you have another option where you are pick the other company!


Horrible, appalling, THE WORST

Occasional bursts of the speed we were promised but mostly too slow for streaming tv or movies and with frequent outages. Also somehow hit the data cap often despite a 2 user household not home during day and not doing any streaming due to lack of speed. Customer service terrible. Lots of promises but no action. Finally cancelled 11/6 and then got a bill 11/16 for the next month. Cancellation had failed to go through somehow, but they had a record of my call. Promised to credit my credit card. Found today that never happened. Now using cell phone hot spots for Internet-- faster, more reliable and cheaper!!!!


Waste of money

I wish I could give 0 stars. Worst service ever, if we can get a stream to connect ever 1-3 mins it pauses for 1-3 mins. The absolute worst way to enjoy entertainment. Do yourself a favor, learn from my mistake, go anywhere else. Not excede!!!!! I can\'t wait until my contract is up so they can come get this satellite and let me get another company.

READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE GETTING THIS SERVICE. If I could give a negative star I would. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Horrible customer service and internet service. I was promised a credit that was never received. I had similar issues from the reviews I read about below, credit card issues, slow coverage or none and used up. Goes on and on. I can\'t believe these people are in business. I\'ve cancelled my service and was happy to pay the cancellation fee of over $300. I cancelled Oct. 31st and they charged me $160 on Nov 1st and I was not able to use it. When I received the box to send back, I made sure I took a picture with a UPS employee who boxed it up for me so if they try and charge me, I will sue them and take them to court for harassment! This is a joke!


Sad. Tech support has hung up on me.

When the satellite is working, it is good. But there are frequent outages. This one lasted for 21 hrs.
I called 5 times for tech support, They hung up on me 3 times.
It is the frequency of the outages that upsets me.
Time before this they sent me a message saying that I owed them money and my service was terminated.
They did not like it when I pointed out that they take the money straight out of my account. Of course they argued with me that there was no money to take out.
Almost every time the situation mysteriously resolves after I get upset and tell them off.
This current issue resolved mysteriously...once again.
Almost every time they want to send out a service call. I can\'t afford service calls. They are expensive!
They tried to talk mess into a service contract. So that each service call would only be a portion of the usual amount.
I keep refusing. It is very frustrating to not be able to do my work because of them trying to rob me.
PLEASE IF YOU HAVE THESE ISSUES POST THEM. I THINK THEY NEED A TASTE OF THEIR OWN MEDICINE.

The Worst of the WORST!

Didn\'t get near the advertised speeds of 12. I was usually at or below 5 to 7. So I\'m thinking the pony express would be faster. After two months I\'d had enough. Fortunately, the credit card I entered into my info at their website was a gift card that I had purchased. I left just enough on it to cover my monthly bill so they couldn\'t take more than they were owed (which in my opinion should have been nothing). I told them to send me a bill for the 329.00 required to break my contract. Waited about a month for the bill to come, paid it and then received a bill from a collections agency. That is how Excede operates... I did contact the FCC and filed a complaint. They sent me a ticket number and told me Excede had a month to reply and would probably do so in writing. Well, they never did contact me. So now it is back to the FCC for me. I now have a Verizon JetPack and am happy with it.
p.s. I had to pay someone to come and remove the satellite from my roof as well. Excede does absolutely nothing for its customers.


So Glad to have Cancelled my Service!!

Customer service was nice on the phone during set-up but were awful after service was installed. The internet speed was terrible and we used all of our data within the first 10 days of each month and service was drastically slower than that after. It is a 2 year contract and $15/mo left on the contract to cancel. We finally cancelled and now I have to take the dish off of my own roof! Pathetic. Horrible internet and company policies. Waste of money.


Watch your data usage

I live in a rural area and no one but my wife and I use our internet. Since signing with Exede, somehow my data usage has doubled although my device usage has not. The name Exede is fitting for this company. If you have other choices take them, or be prepared to spend more money.

I don't even know where to start; have been dealing with them with a problem since 9/19/15, it is 11/18/15; still not resolved. I am just going to agree with all of these reviews; probably not enough room here for my situation. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT sign up; especially when they lock you into a 2 year contract & not tell you in advance. I know read the small print but you'd think the techs would have said something when they go over the contract stuff when they complete installation. It's NO WONDER they don't!


Worst Company Ever!!!!

Directv offered this service as a bundle service. Direct tv shouldn\'t be linked with such horrible company. The customer service is Horrible and the technician\'s are bad. They installed service and I was never able to be linked to the internet because the dish was too far away from my apartment. Run fast from these people!!! and I only gave a 1 star because they wont let you give a zero


1.2 5.0 1231 1231 having seriouse speed issues, complained to company they schedualed a technician to come gave a 3 hour window for the tech to be there, waited the 3 hours then called and they said Exede broadband internet
