ViaSat Exede broadband internet Exede is a satellite internet service provided by parent company ViaSat. The service was launched in 2012 when the ViaSat-1 satellite was put into service. Before Exede, ViaSat offered WildBlue on an older Telesat Anik F2 satellite. In general Exede's real world performance is over 10x faster than WildBlue's. The new ViaSat-2 satellite is scheduled to be put into service later this year (2016). SKU UPC Model

half the time works...just paid my bill 8 days ago and it hasn't been working since..it worked 2 times for about an hour..oh they even told me I get a fee waiver this time cause I've he'd it less than 90 days...but if I need it serviced again it will cost me $95 and I feel it's their service and they get paid enough nd should fix it for free considering it's the most worthless internet I have ever had...I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy

You don't get the whole story upfront

It sounded to good to be true! And it was! They wanted to know if we downloaded movies on our PC's, NO, Play online games, NO. I do emails, our Church's website, Looking up information online. After having to "buy" more space and one "upgrade" I just went for the top one! The wireless router that we had to buy, which we were not informed that they didn't provide one, won't work, intermittent service, asked to have a tech come and help us with it, and "We don't send someone out for that!" I think the only time they send someone out is to install!! then you are on your own. Wish there was another company. OH AND 1 STAR IS BEING VERY GENEROUS.

Never seen worse internet

Went through this company because it is all that's available in my area. Simply stated, I'd rather go without Internet, than have this crap. First off, what Internet company doesn't give wireless routers these days? Second, all I hear about this company is the "speed"... I haven't seen Internet this slow since dial up! Absolute worst Internet I've ever used. As a DirecTV fan, I am ashamed that they have partnered with this terrible Internet company.

Beyond Horrible

I would give negative stars if possible. Absolutely horrible. Everything about the company. Customer service and the service itself is the most unacceptable service I've ever known.

Horrible

This company has refused to help us figure out who is hacking our internet and is constantly accusing us of downloading music we do even listen to. they told us it has to be one of my kids then. When I told them it is impossible because one is 1200 mile away, one is in school when the downloads are reported to have been downloaded and they just tell us it is our problem and they will not send anybody to help us. The connection is not worth $140.00 a month. My bill is due on the 20th of month an they can't tell my total bill until the 21st the company doesn't like it when you try and pay your bill a week in advance. We Have decided to look into changing internet companies.

Worst

This is the worst internet service. I also blame Direct TV for lying by omission. They did not go into enough detail about the satellite internet and explain about the limited data allowed. And when I quizzed them about streaming Netflix and Amazon and the amount of data used they were evasive. If they didn't know how much data they used, they certainly should have known how much Direct TV on Demand used. After all, that is who they are working for and what they are selling. Yes, that is the magic word. SELLING..... If you bundle, you get a discount. When you hear that, you think you're getting a deal. RIGHT, In less than 2 days and only watching 4 movies from Direct TV on Demand ,all 12 GB were used up and we fell into the Liberty pass plan. They said that we wouldn't pay anymore money, the internet would just be slower. Man was that an understatement. We could not stream anything on TB and the laptop could not detect and internet signal. I thought my husband was going to rip the dish off the house. Yes on the house right under the roof where the water runoff from the rain hits it. Smart.. After 2 weeks it was gone. $345.00 for early cancellation. It may be ok if you don't have any other way to connect to the internet. We tucked tail and went back to our local cable service. So far we are pleased with Direct TV.

THE WORST

May 26, 2015 by Nicole Lepoutre-Baldocchi

Sorry I can't give it a negative star. Good speed, but so what if the data package is so puny? We used it at the beach house and didn't have enough data to stream even one movie a month. Awful. At the end of the contract we canceled and went with a local DSL service. Not as fast but unlimited data. When I canceled I was told I did not have to return any equipment at all because it had been installed by an affiliate of Exede and the equipment was out of date. Now just got a bill for over $300 for equipment that was not returned. Over 45 minutes on the phone and no joy. Unless I return the equipment, which we might have ditched since we were told we did not have to return it, and 15 minutes on hold waiting for a supervisor, nothing. Finally just hung up. Don't know how this will pan out, but be warned, they just suck at this...
