ViaSat Exede broadband internet Exede is a satellite internet service provided by parent company ViaSat. The service was launched in 2012 when the ViaSat-1 satellite was put into service. Before Exede, ViaSat offered WildBlue on an older Telesat Anik F2 satellite. In general Exede's real world performance is over 10x faster than WildBlue's. The new ViaSat-2 satellite is scheduled to be put into service later this year (2016). SKU UPC Model

TOTAL RIP OFF

I was talked into this by SteamLine Comm. out of Ky. was told I would receive cable (direct tv) and internet plus phone for $110.00
I was billed separate for (Internet and phone $95.00 plus 55.00 for cable. But never received phone device to install phone for over a month. Got tired of waiting for phone device and broke contract with them. And got another server to provide service for me. But they kept charging me for service for 7 months for a total of 779.00
and are telling me to send the dish back to them that is attached to electric pole about 15 foot up, oh yes I\'m a senior citizen. I will be calling BBB on Exede and Steamline so
please say no if they call you.


Worst Internet service I have ever had

I had trouble from the first day this service was started. When I called back to complain after the installation I was told that the people that sign you up are only sales people. They will say anything to get the sale. I have a home business where I use the Internet all day long. Some days I can\'t even get online. Some websites won\'t even load. I have to turn on my cell phone hot spot to get into some sites. I live in a townhouse and they couldn\'t install the satellite in my home office so I had to buy additional equipment to make it work. The Excede phone is also a mess, I have to have a phone line running from one room to the other so all my phones will work. When there is a heavy rain or wind storm in our area, it doesn\'t work. I am going to have this service disconnected after the six months is up. They have offered 20 gigs for 6 months. I don\'t even get through the months before I\'ve used that up. I never had that problem with Comcast, which I\'m going back. I am also discontinuing my Direct TV service. I don\'t want to have anything more to do with Direct TV or Satelite services.


How ViaSat treats domestic abuse

I had this service at my previous home that I vacated due to domestic violence. I completed my contract and when I called and canceled service I was told I needed to return the equipment. I explained there was a no contact order against my ex and I was unable to retrieve it. I was told I had to return it in 30 days or I would be charged. After 2 weeks I was still unable to retrieve the equipment so I called again to let them know. I finally was able to retrieve the equipment and managed to get it sent back; however, it was after 30 days. I was charged for the equipment, charged by the bank for NSF fees, and have to wait for them to "process my order" before they will refund me. It has been made quite apparent to me ViaSat/Exede cares more about money than the safety of their customers!!!

Please save yourself a headache, do not get this company. 45 minute waits on hold, direct TV will count against your internet usage. I did not know this is the company that Direct TV bundles with and I wish I did before hand because I would have never gotten it. Day one used 0.8 gigs, day two was 2.2 gigs. then rolled over to new month and had 1.5 gigs on day one. Your 12 gigs will not last more than a week and for $80 that is a rip off.


Worst service ever

That first person is still in the honeymoon phase with this company. My service was just terminated after my internet was hacked 3 times. Someone was downloading music using my service and the company continued to blame me. I changed the password 3 different times and still no help. My mother just paid the bill last Friday for the month of June and our service was terminated today on the first. This is beyond ridiculous. They couldn't even send someone put to retrieve their stupid box, that I would have to pay for that too. No sir. They have cheated enough money out of us. Then they told us that if we couldn't get the equipment down ( seeing how we didn't have the tools or knowledge of how to do so) that they would charge or account an EXTRA 300+. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER USED and on top of that the internet want even that great! They don't even deserve one star let alone.25 of one.


A Complete Ripoff

I was required to move from a larger city (Pensacola) to a much smaller one, a short 30-40 minute drive away (Milton). When we were in the process of moving I was researching internet companies, TV providers, etc. There was only one internet provider in my area, Exceed internet (I find the name ironic because it utterly fails to do as its name says). We pay about $80 dollars for 'Unlimited' e-mail and web browsing but have a data cap of 10Gb. I am unsure as to how they calculate our usage but it seems we run out of data within a week or two, all the while we are browsing the web and sending e-mails, which were supposed to be unlimited. I visit my friends in Pensacola every weekend to catch up, but more importantly use their internet to pay bills, download books I need for studying, and other essential tasks I used to take for granted. On a related note, my friend pays around $45 dollars for unlimited internet usage and double the download/upload speeds I get with Exceed. This company is essentially running a monopoly out in my neck of the woods and I require the internet for my job, as I'm sure most of us in this age do. I hate this company, and their abysmal internet. As soon as I am able to move from Milton I am breaking my contract, the cost of that termination is well worth the sigh of relief that I will receive when I am finally able to advance past the speeds of 5 mbps speeds.

Just remember to watch movies after, 12 midnight. The past few days we have used 0.8 gb out of 15gb just use the net wisely and you wont have problems.

I don't know what the big fuss is with you people. This service is great. You just have to remember one thing, is treat it like cable, sometimes when the weather is bad your internet will be out.

Its very fast internet. I like it and will continue to enjoy it.

I did not give this service a rating because one star is too much.This service is slower than dial up,worst service I've ever used,support is not any better.They are going to charge early termination fee of $245.00,but the money I will save using a faster service will be worth it in the end.Again,I Would NOT recommend this service to anyone.

They don't even deserve 1 star. Customer service is the worst. Cannot even speak with any managers. Very poorly run. Will never do business with this company again and will not refer anyone to this company. I have never been so unsatisfied with a company.


1.2 5.0 1231 1231 having seriouse speed issues, complained to company they schedualed a technician to come gave a 3 hour window for the tech to be there, waited the 3 hours then called and they said Exede broadband internet
