Hopper 3 and 4K

I am a returning customer to Dish, so I obviously like them overall. This time though I was specifically after 4K capabilities, which cable couldn't provide. Getting the new service ordered was a bit of a nightmare, I informed the sales tech of my need for 4K and gave a few channel samples to determine the right package. After four (printed) pages of chat, and the final closing, I once again mention 4K and the new Hopper 3, which she corrected me stating we are agreeing on the older Hopper, but for a one time fee of $54.00 can upgrade to the Hopper 3. I ask what the difference is between the two and she stated the DVR capabilities. So I ask once again if the older Hopper can allow 4K programming, which finally she admitted, NO. So I gave in and added the Hopper 3. During the install, I am handed a remote that doesn't light up or have voice command, since the features I had been seeing in Dish ads conflicted with this I asked the service tech about it. Guess what? For an additional $38.00 I can upgrade to a remote that does, that's $38 per remote, I have three TVs. Big disappointment with the extra "add-ons" that should be standard with upper packages. Back to 4K, I eagerly search through channels looking for anything broadcast in 4K, nothing. I was told there are some in the "on demand" channels, so I look there, to my surprise I found a total of 38 offerings in 4K, if I want to pay $4.00 more than HD, or $7.99 per movie. So in closing, Dish TV has NO 4K programming at this time. I hope that changes soon.


Worst Programming ever

I get the same bill every month, until they decide to raise the fees. They show the same programs over and over and over!!! Same crap every month!! Who is their programming director? A monkey could do a better job!! As soon as the contract is done, bye bye dish network!! And I tell everyone I have CV a conversation with.DO NOT GET DISH NETWORK!!!! You suck!!


When you cancel you will get screwed

Upon termination Dish will even charge you $10.00 extra for each box just to return the boxes.

There is just one reason for high rating: they have a service plan, and as a handicap retiree I have a problem with handling operational solutions. I call, they come, they fix: that is my reason for three stars. All the rest is typical of what I read on other providers.-John Hendricks, Griffin, GA


Sales doesn't know it's job

We wanted standard TV channels, nothing special. No "movie" channels (HBO, SHOWTIME, Etc.). Only stipulation is we must be able to NBA games on either the NBA channel or Root Sports. After spending all day here today while one person installed for 3 TV's we discover that 1) DISH doesn't carry ROOT Sports and 2) the NBA channel is blacked out for our zip code. We can watch the game from 'on demand' after it's been played. Haven't even had DISH 1 day and it goes back tomorrow.

I am with Dish for many many years and the service has always been prompt and professional. for some years I subscribed to international channels presently I use the 200 should there be a variation the customers service representative has corrected the issue on the spot.

Dish customer service is awful from who I have spoke with, they always have different things to say and do not review the customer service notes before arguing with you. The bill is NEVER what they tell you it will be☹️️ Unfortunately, where we live, our options of TV are limited or we would change providers in a heartbeat.

When i set up service we had no problems. Bill whas what i was told it would be for the first few months. Now latley my bill is well over $100. I asked to lower my package and was told i needed to pay bill in full before thwy could lower it....i juat callwd because they intwreupted my service bacause my bill is $204.00 dollars. I asked if there was anythinG they could do to help and they said no because bill was past due. Well its past due because my bill just keeps going up. I asled to speak with a supervisor and was told they couldnt over ride anything so talking to them would not work. I am so sick of paying something i was told would be $100 less.


Stinks

The services stinks .It took 4 techs to get the service going !!
The service was suppose to be $19.99 for 1 yrs 55 channels and a receiver doesn't record.The channels r all the same ones !! You actually get 15 channels.Please don't let the tech come to ur house. They came me a new receiver that wasn't working tech came to house said I was only signing the work slip that the new receiver is working !!! It was a form that said I wanted dish for 2years !! Please don't sign anything with the tech !!!! No no !!! They didn't even notify and say the $19.99 promo when be over and it's more money. Please please please don't sign anything.
