DishNetwork TV Service

Jun 13, 2016 by Ag

We used Dish Network TV service for few years, service is very very poor, every time is rains or snows we do not have signal. Plus now I do not have TV service for the last two weeks, scheduled 4 appointments with Dish to come and fix it and every time NOBODY showed up despite all confirmation emails received from Dish, I spoke to customer service for hours on the phone and still nobody was able to help. This service is not worth even $1, the worst company I have ever ever dealt with. Do not recommend to anyone even for free. very very bad and Dish does not want to keep their customers. Do not even deserve 1 start.

We got dish network a little over a week ago, worst decision ever! When they set up the TV portion they located our address and verified yes you can use our services! Awesome...for now. Didn't set up the Internet just yet because we hadn't moved in at the time and just wanted to make sure we had TV, also finances. They said, no worries you can add that later. Note, you cannot use most of dish without Internet!! We then call to set it up, talked to about 6 different representatives. Half said no we don't do Internet in you area, the other half said yes we do but wouldn't recommend it. Seriously guys! Point of my rant, they should have known at the beginning when they located our address, we couldn't do Internet. Now we're stuck in a 2year contract and can't use what we're paying for!! We're are beyond unhappy and they won't do a thing. So when someone asks me what provider should I use!? Not these people!!!!!

DISH Review

We left Coxcable do to the fact they kept raising their rates.w/bundle . we got tired of that everymonth when we got the bill, SO we switched to the Dishnetwork. and the Tecks were awesome in the installation, and where to put the wires, explained how to use the box and the remote. was great picture. as well. The customer service was very helpful everytime we called them . but please make sure you get a USA person to speak with. that I will recommend. We have the everything package thru dish, and stillgreat. but this yr they raised the rates of the dish do to cost, they failed to notify us by email or snail mail to inform us of the increase of extra 15 bucks.that our new bill would be 174. that is alittle steep but will not go back to COxCable noway. WE love the dish network. and would not change it. yes they do have some issues in some areas but we are all human, but alway if your not sure get the peoples names first write it down, and keep for a reference.but call back the same day to double check write everything down. they tell you . but always call back same day to make sure it is correct. We love the dish and will keep having it . we will lower our bill alittle bite under what we are paying right know. but LOVE THE SERVICE.

adding charges for dropping a service even though i am not in a contract. threatened to cancel my service if i didn't agree to a certain price. constantly ripping me off. the signal is very poor and even after changing the satellite dish out, still loosing hd signal. pixelates and freezes. they told me i can only call in once a month

They Are Thieves!

I was an active Dish Network customer when i logged into their website and spoke with a live Agent and negotiated a new 24 month contract. We discussed pricing and i even confirmed the pricing back to the employee for the initial 12 months of service and the following 12 months of service to clarify, i was answered back YES THAT IS CORRECT. Now 3 months into the new 24 month contract i was told those credits had expired and that they had no recourse and could not provide that pricing and also would only cancel the contract if i paid the $420 early termination fee and also paid to have the devices sent back to Dish. All agents i spoke with agreed this was a Dish employee error but that there was nothing they could do. Being a preexisting customer for some years and actually owning stock in the company and having referred my friends and parents to this company i am thoroughly disgusted. I will now be switching my parents provider and selling all the DISH stock i own. I will make it a point from now on to let anyone i know in person or via the internet of my disgust of how this situation was handled. I have never in all my years had such horrible customer service and or explanations provided to me. I was told yes we messed up and you have to pay for it. Thats like buying a new car for a fixed price only to find out 3 months in you owe another $70 a month. Very displeased cant say that enough even considering i saved the entire conversation with the Dish employee and sent that on to them and still nothing. GO WITH DIRECTV TV, COMCAST, AT&T, ANTENNA!!!! Anything but DISH.

Very bad service & selection

I channels I get are not worth what I pay.
For the $56.00 I get stuff not worth watching.
I leave my TV on now just to have noise for my dog. I am getting ready to cut back on my working hours and i will be canceling dish.
I entertain a lot and it would be nice just to get 5 good channels and not 30 channels of nothing. 1 local news channel, 1 kids channel, 1 world news channel. 1 cool movie channel and 1 regular movis channel, 1 cooking channel.
No instead they monitor what you watch and then take it away so you will up grade to a higher cost.
I am so unhappy how dish operates i would pay another co. More just for the principal.
Plus you only get to TV 75% of the time due to signal loss. I give dish negative rating.

Don't believe Dish "price lock"

May 26, 2016 by C. McLaughlin

Don't believe Dish's "Price Lock" promotions, they will raise your bill anyway. Dish sold me a TV/internet bundle that was guaranteed to be "price locked" for 24 months, but the internet bill unexpectedly went up by $10/month after 6 months. I called Dish and they told me that only some of the advertised discounts were price locked while others were not. Of course, the sales person neglected to point this out. The lesson is take Dish's "Price Lock" packages for what they are: a hollow sales gimmick that they don't intend to honor.

threatened to cancel me if i didn't take their offer

May 16, 2016 by pat

i was having problems with the hopper freezing up. this is the 4th replacement in a year. the representative told me not to interrup her while she made me an offer. i've been their customer since 1994. she said if i didn't take the offer they would cancel my service. Really??? i always pay on time. so, she would not complete the technical part of the conversation until i said ok for the offer. yes i got her name, extension and operator id. oh, and then before ending the call she said i could only call dish once a month.
