Unethical business

May 12, 2016 by Andrea Martin

This is the most unethical company allowed to call themselves a business! Don't bother looking at the Channel line up for the packages. They are FALSE and then customer service gives you some song & dance about it being a technical glitch and it was part of a free preview deal something or another. But there is no asterisk or any indication that is a part of since special when you look at it! They make up new rules as they go and their sales reps will tell you anything you want to hear just to get you to sign up! And when you complain on their Facebook page they block you and tell you that you are spam! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!I would prefer to go with no stars but it won't let me!

Dish sucks

The worst cable ever and they charge you so many hidden fees - I will never use them again and I tell everyone to stay far away from this company!!!!!!!!!!!

This has been a nightmare. We were told that we would have to have one TV on a backfeed and would have to pay an upfront fee $25.00. When the technician came out to install it he said he was unable to do a backfeed and we would have to buy another Joey box. Because the $25.00 was to a different company (unknown) they couldn't apply that payment and we would need to pay $53.55 before we could have the install. (First big mistake.) We paid the fee, got the install done, what a nightmare. We can not use Netflix with the hopper three because of a problem on their end that will take at least 10 days to fix. Then if you want to watch a show VOD the remote will not allow you to go to live TV, you need to go to two different screens to get out of the program you are watching. Then even when the movie had downloaded and we were about half way through the show it started to buffer about every two minutes. I have had this system about 36 hours and I check my bank account and they have charged me for two boxes and install fee (should have been free). I would never recommend this service to anyone.

Billing problems

May 07, 2016 by Keith

I am contracted to pay $150 per month and for at least the next couple months am under contract to pay that amount. Tonight I spoke with two separate representatives to figure out why this months bill is over $205. I got absolutely no where with DeSa ID # Qwj and Mary ID# wyc. Both of these ladies were very rude, unprofessional and absolutely refused to allow me to speak with a supervisor to dispute my bill. DeSa told me that speaking with a supervisor was unwarranted at this time and Mary told me she was just as qualified to talk to me as anyone else, and in order to speak with a supervisor that I must first pay my bill even though that was what I was disputing. Both of these representatives confirmed that I am being charged in access of $300 and even $400 a month, and because I pay my bill every month through the dish receiver for the amount that it tells me to pay, which is the same amount that I am contracted to pay that I now have past due charges that accumulated from unpaid balances.m. I asked repeatedly to speak with a supervisor and I was denied every time. I have about three months left in my contract and I WILL NOT renew. In fact I will be going to our lawyer Monday to find out if Dish has breached the contract.

I am very disappointed with how I was treated tonight, and if this is the customer service dish now has, I want no part of it.

Absolutely Horrible & Unethical

The worst business I have EVER worked with. Equipment died at 3 months. They sent a new receiver, and make me to the installation work. And shipping work. I took a promotion of 3 months free recordings - and ALL were lost. After I installed the new receiver (a mess), it cuts out all the time. Cannot even watch a 1-hr show, it drops it - numnerous times, every day/night. I've now recorded about another year's worth of movies I want to watch, but the new receiver also died. They want to send me a new one - but what' the f'g point. I save the shows, but they lose them. They charge me, but they don't meet their end of the contract. Their customer services are friendly, but it doesn't do any good. They must put up with angry customers every day, and be trained to "manage" them - but still doesn't fix the problems. Why would I ever continue this crap - and I would never subject a friend to this - not even an enemy. It is the most careless company I have ever seen - in my whole life. I p ay $433.32 a year - and get nothing for it. They should be forced out of business and sued.

When their is a problem - Terrible

May 05, 2016 by Bev Byrd

They were bundled with another provider but could never find me until I canceled. Then they were so difficult to work with. There was no service at all. Then 3 tiers up - the president of customer service has no boss. He is it. Amazing how they don't want to deal with their terrible service up the line. I do understand why though. It is so sad. Bad reviews everywhere and I am adding to it. I will NEVER use them.

bad service

May 03, 2016 by ron ward

I would not use Dish TV again, they did not tell me the truth about pricing and hidden fees, such as $10 per box return fee, you pay the postage for return items they did not tell the truth when I signed up for service they said my rate was one price then after a period of time they increased the rate over 70%. I called and complained but did not get any help only that too bad you signed a contract and we will charge your credit card for a penalty. I was mislead about pricing and terms as well as the service was misrepresented. When I complained they only referred me to another department where I received the same treatment. I now find out that I have to climb on my roof and remove their disk at my risk and expense, being 74 years old that is a problem. I think Dish TV is guilty of deceptive business practice, misleading customers and intentionally hiding negative issues.

Unjust Collections

Apr 25, 2016 by Tiffini

I utilized Dish Network Satellite services for years and was a good customer that ALWAYS paid my bills on time. When I switched to a different carrier, I paid my final bill and returned the equipment. Three years later, I am in escrow purchasing a home and a collection pops up on my credit report for $18. I immediately contact the collection agency and they inform me that it is a charge for Dish. I called them and the collection was for pre-paid shipping labels. I explained that this must be an mistake and I paid any final charges to my account already. I would not be a good customer for years and not pay $18 for shipping labels. I explained to them that I never received a bill and so forth. Anyway I paid the collection and they were looking into removing the collection from my credit report. All the company did was take my $18 and pass me around to different agents and it was never removed from my credit report. Dish Network did not try to work with me at all to get this matter resolved. I believe it is unfair to put this collection on my account without trying to contact me first. I can PROMISE that they never reached out to me about this charge and just went on and sent me to collections. They have not tried to help me with removing this from my credit report either. Yes I can dispute the collection with my credit reporting agency, but that takes time and I was supposed to sign loan documents a week ago. This is just bad business and customer service all around.

COMPLETE RIP-OFF

Apr 25, 2016 by Tammy

Don't believe a word they say about fast speed, download music crap. They have FAP that you are limited to upload and download per month for a huge cost. Forget watching videos, getting music etc. And, if the weather if bad, you are out of service. It's junk, it's a rip off and I would never NEVER im my life time recommend or go back.... EVER! It's unfortunate for those that are very limited to only satellite services of IS.
I only gave this a 1 star because I had to submit something. It is less than 1 star.

They is really crazy

I have never heard of a cable company making you responsible forfor two years. However I have a idea of why because they probably hardly have customers. The worst service. Never again.
