Buyer Beware

All what I am going to tell those who want to know, started on or about 3/15/16, when I received a innocent looking card from DISH. I didn't find out until after I was fished in that this deal was from a retailer. They evidently can tell you anything to fish you in.
I was told I was getting a package deal consisting of Dish Satellite service with phone and internet service. I received a bill from Dish for the satellite service, witch was close to the amount I was quoted. The real shocker came when I received the bill from the phone& internet service (Frontier Communications). I immediately called Dish and asked to speak to a Supervisor about this matter. He tells me I don't have a package deal with Dish, it has to be done thru Frontier. I call Frontier and tell them the situation, they say I don't have a package deal with them, but would help me get set up with the one that the Dish rep. said I was getting. It will take me several more weeks before I will know approximately how much the package deal will cost me. I am a senior citizen and took the $125 offer, saving me about $30 a month over the Cable,Internet,Phone service that I previous had. Dish should be ashamed of themselves, for misleading me and not making themselves clear. Now I am stuck in a 2 year contract and can't even afford to go back to my former provider. The reason I gave this one star is it wouldn't let me do the Review without a selection. If had seen these Reviews prior to making the commitment, I wouldn't have touched this offer with a 10ft pole. I hope no one else has to go thru with what I have. Another thing that the promotion included was NETFLIX free for a year, a savings of $119. But they didn't tell me I would have to have a special receiver to receive it costing much more than the components that came with my service, and my service would all have to be upgraded to support NETFLIX. Again I Say: BYER BEWARE!!!!

I decided to go with Dish because of pricing. The technician came out to install on 3/12. Nice guy but when he was removing Direct TV box behind TV , I heard several banging noises and he said "it's cracked". The 48" Samsung flat screen TV I bought in November had a "starburst" crack in upper right corner. He immediately called in a damage report to Dish. The tech told me to keep after Dish. Boy was he right! After many calls -- a major runaround -- another tech came out and reviewed the damage on 3/19. He took photo of my receipt and check for$ $1248.95. Since then nothing from Dish. I've made numerous calls to Dish and "Tiffany" my supposed claims manager is never in and doesn't return calls. I'm way past tired of the runaround!!!!!


Terrible Everything

They shut my service off once because I was 2 days late paying my bill, then the dvr wouldn't work after that so they then wanted to charge me a 100 dollars for a service charge and after the guy gets here he tells me I need a new dvr box and that he has one in his truck but cannot give that one to me unless I buy there monthly insurance of an extra 8 dollars and if I didn't i would have to wait 4 days to get one through the mail. My daughter just got home for a vacation so i was stuck and went ahead and did it _then after canceled it. 2 months later my daughter came home for spring break and it happened again tv screen came up saying bootstrap something something and no tv i am online with the guy he after an hour tried to get me to run different things says i have to have another one sent to me, 2 to 4 days before it gets to me, so to my daughter sorry no tv again while your here, 5th day i call and ask where my dvr is and the girl says wow it never got sent it will be another 2 to 4 days, pissed yes I was, asked if they were gonna give me free hbo for a month or something, she said we are going to take off 26 dollars off your bill for the days of no tv, wow big deal, and she wasn't even nice about it. I pay all this money for either no tv at all or never nothing on the tv. I am going to buy a different box and go a different route for my tv. Oh and when i sent the old dvr back after receiving the new one... the ups guy said here's a receipt make sure you keep this they are notorious for saying they did not receive the old dvr back, i then said well how many do you sent back from here, mind you i live in a small town, at least 15 boxes (DVR'S) A WEEK. A WEEK and they want people to pay insurance on there junk, it makes me think its a scam. and they keep jacking up the monthly bill. started out at something like 39 dollars now paying 82 dollars for nothing ever on tv or no tv cause it keeps breaking down


WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

I just got off the phone with a sales person from Dish in Fl, what an awful experience!! I called for a quote and the person wanted to obligate me into a contract. The person insisted that they provided the best quote and quoted some great awards they have received (who cares?! I still want to compare!!!). I was cleared from the beginning and stated what I, the customer was looking for, my request was never heard all the customer service person heard was that I was a potential income for him, that's it!!! He wanted me to agree to accept the contract with no commitment and that I could go compare with others and call back to cancel, are you insane?!!! I said no, tried to interrupt him while he read the agreement, but he kept reading faster and then told me all I need is a yes from you. I said, no,no,no, I am not signing a contract with you, I just wanted a quote and you keep offering me this...to say the least I ended up hanging the phone on him because he wouldn't take no for an answer. He called back 11 times!!!! Yes, eleven times!!! I picked up and told him that I was not going to agree to anything, not to call me back, and that I was highly upset with him trying to pressure me into agreeing to a contract I didn't accept. He basically said I am working for my commission and you are wasting my time, I will read this agreement to you again if you want. We had a back and fourth about who is wasting whose timed, earning a living and treating your customers the right way so that you can earn their trust and service. Needless to say, I had to hang up again and block his number, before I hanged up I told him I did not ever want anything to do with their company, that this was my first time trying to get to know them, but NEVER AGAIN!!!! Wow, this was a truly horrible experience. It was so bad I had to vent it out!!!! Stay away from this company, they want your immediate money not interested in long term commitment!!!

the internet service is so slow that you cannot do anything. U are lucky to get you email to work. When I went to the local office the worker told me I should have been told that satellite internet is only worth it if u live in the boondocks where it is all u can get.stay with cable or u will be disappointed.

They sent me to collections on my ex husbands acct with no notification of a past due invoice. I sent them my divorce papers 5 years ago but they said. The proper approval to change the acct to my ex's name was not completed. Apparently a divorce and moving out meant nothing.

I cannot believe that you cannot bring current series/programs. I watch the same shows in the morning that I watch the night before. You ARE NOT current. Too many Paid Programming. TV used to be free. You are giving me crap so I'm going to cancel altogether.

we live in a rural area with poor internet. When i was told we could get 10mbps speed, I thought it was great - for the same price I was paying right now for 2mbps. The lady that sold me this plan said it was limited to 60 G a month. I thought i could live with that. When i went to check today, one day after installation, I was shocked to see it was 10G anytime and 50G from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. I canceled on the spot and told them I didn't like being lied to. The speed was very good but I don't think the 10 mbps would last very long. DISH pretty much lied to me on this one.

Cuando firme contrato de 2 years me dijeron que mi factura no aumentaria en los 2 years y tambien NEFLIX gratis por 1 year y yo dije excelente.
Escuchen y lean bien, llevo 6 meses de servicio y mi factura ya aumento`y NEFLIX desaparecio ya no tengo el servicio...si escucharon muy bien 6 MESES de tener el servicio de DISH.
Llamo a customer services y te dan mentiras y mentiras y escusas y escusas. Para ser un poco corto con todas estas mentiras que me dieron los del DISH, hoy en dia tengo que pagarles $360 para cancelar el servicio de DISH.
Esto quiere decir que yo si tengo que cumplir el contrato a la perfeccion pero DISH NO CUMPLE con lo prometido...
CUIDADO, CUIDADO mis amigos los que esten pensando tener a DISH esto que dice aqui es REAL esto no es mentira lo que me esta pasando en estos momentos.
MY RATING FOR DISH IS 0,0,0,0,0....
DISH NEVER NEVER AGAIN.
