ViaSat Exede broadband internet Exede is a satellite internet service provided by parent company ViaSat. The service was launched in 2012 when the ViaSat-1 satellite was put into service. Before Exede, ViaSat offered WildBlue on an older Telesat Anik F2 satellite. In general Exede's real world performance is over 10x faster than WildBlue's. The new ViaSat-2 satellite is scheduled to be put into service later this year (2016). SKU UPC Model

Worst decision i have ever made

My family uses all of the data within 2 days. After purchasing i immediately regretted it, but we were stuck with it. after about 3 months a tree fell on the satellite and the internet stopped working (not that it was useful before). It took me about 3 weeks to call as i was dealing with the fact that the tree also fell on my car. I called customer support and told them of the incident and they sent someone over to fix the dish. The gentleman who came could not get a signal and said he would send someone in his place later that week. I cancelled my card on the account (it was not my intention to pay for an internet service that wasn't working). The next week came and no one had showed up so i called again and they told me i had to pay my bill before any service could be done. WHY AM I REQUIRED TO PAY A MONTH OF SERVICE IF THE INTERNET DID NOT WORK FOR MOST OF THE MONTH. not only that... my husband waited for them all day friday and saturday thinking they were showing up. No one ever called me to let me know no one was showing up because i had not paid my bill.
What is worst is that we cannot get out of contract. They will not get another dime from us.


10G in 2 days not possible!

This is the worse service I have ever dealt with. How do I use 70% of my data in a matter of hours with nothing connected? They tell me it was my itunes store however I was never signed in at the time. Yes I have pw protection on my end. Their customer service is terrible and keep blaming everything on again iTunes store not possible. Need to be be reported to better business bureau.


Poor connection

Locked in a 24 month contract. We've already had a technician come out during our 90 day period for free to correct some issues. Now that we are still having slow connection times, delay in typing, etc. we cannot get out of the contract. Exede has basically said there is nothing they can do but give us a $20 down time credit and to call them back next week to see if anything has changed.


worst customer service ever

using exede because there are no alternatives for service in my area. Speed is never what is advertised, data gets consumed within a couple of days whether or not you use any, customer service keeps you on the phone for hours, trying to up-sale you on everything while refusing to listen to your complaint.

used 10gb in 2 days?

Have a friend who uses Exede for his Internet service in his RV when camping. He was going to be out of the country for a month and let me use it to see how I liked it. Super easy to set up and aquire signal. I'd never allow a "Tech" to get near my house. Anyhow, it was the 1st day of his billing cycle with a fresh 10 gigs available, set it up and linked only my television to it. Leaving all other mobile devices on out home wifi. We streamed 2 Netflix short documentaries at 45 minutes each and 1 full length vudu movie. 1/2 way thru the movie, Internet cut off saying we've reached our data limit and need to purchase more.
Made me think,,,,, who's monitoring the data usage? Unless the customer has a varied way to accurately measure usage, we're forced to believe whatever they say we used. Another trap. We say you used X amount and wudda you gonna do about it? Buy more or go without.
As far as customer service, his experience, they treat you like royalty until you sign that dreaded 24 month contract. Then you're a bother to them.
So,,,, after using Exede for 24 hours, I'd never sign a contract exede or with any service provider.
Beware of data limits and 24 month contracts with this company. I will never used them nor recommend them to anyone.
Thanks to my friend for letting me trying in a real world real household setting.


Worst internet I've ever had

This is the worst internet ever. We are a family of 2, no gaming, streaming, anything...and by day 10 at MAX we are on data restriction. We have had them out here many times to say it's fixed to no avail. As soon as my 2 yr contract is up I'm done with them. I'm serious people STAY AWAY from this company, they do not provide good service and it's expensive to not be able to use then your stuck under contract for something you can't even use.

Unreliable service. Rude customer service. Don't try to pay your bill online. They will tell you it could not be processed and each time you try,they will double bill you. You can't get your money back.They have sucked more money out of my account that way. The customer service reps are snotty and don't seem to know what they are doing.Our contract has ended. We are looking for other options.


Netflix

We started out with wild blue for 39.00 a month.a few months ago a sales guy told my wife we could easily get Netflix if we went to next level.I can get Netflix 1 out of 10 tries.If this not improve we are going to cut service and use money to download movies on our tablets

Hands down the worst Internet service I've ever used. Extremely slow, poor customer service. Not here three weeks a month yet supposedly using too much data....we do not game or download anything, just regular searches. Horrible product!!!!)


1.2 5.0 1231 1231 having seriouse speed issues, complained to company they schedualed a technician to come gave a 3 hour window for the tech to be there, waited the 3 hours then called and they said Exede broadband internet
