WORST EVER!!! Dont waste your Time
Waited all past the time that it was suppose to get install, their non English speaking reps kept calling and switching the times. After the 3 time I cancelled the service my time was between 8 and 11 am. after I called and told them to come at 3 the tech called and said he was on the way..... What a joke I told them if the service was this bad just to get it I didn't even want to see how it would be after I had it....
No service
42 days without service. Dish installed on base that is to small and moves in wind. 12 service appointments with no show or canceled. Now they want to charge to cancel contract even though they can not send tech to correct there poor install. Do not even think about using Exede.
Poor Service
i have the 10GB plan; usually exceed data allowance by 10-12 days into the plan; not a good service if you use internet even a little bit; cannot do any kind of streaming; not sure that the data counter works correctly; things like OS + anti-virus protection can eat up your data
NEVER again
I lived in rural Oregon and the internet service was not at all what I imagined. I couldn't stream any videos or download anything in order to have my internet usage last the whole month and I subscribed to the maximum amount available.
I then moved out of state and was charged a ridiculous fee for the remaining amount on my contract when I had no means to continue my service as I had no residence of my own. Yet they refused to credit or refund me. Absolutely not customer service orientated. The rep on the phone was irritated when I just asked "Why?" I am so disappointed with this company and will not refer anyone to their service!

Then they took cancellation fee out of my account and made me go in the hole at bank. Will definitely be calling BBB and maybe the attorney generals office. Please reconsider if you thinking about exede internet. Rating is a negative 10

bad service
Was told I would have 12 g.b. of speed only received 5.3 for download and 3.5 for upload. When signing up was told it would be good for online gaming. It was not. We could not play online at all. When I called for help was put on hold with technical service but no one ever spoke to me. When I called to explain I was unhappy and I wanted to cancel because I did not get the service I order, they charged me $374. I would recommend staying as far away from Excede Internet as possible.
The Best
I have had Exede internet over two years. We paid $60.00 a month for 10gb. My husband and I both have computers and are on them a lot. Our two year contract was filled and we bundled our exede voice, exede internet and directv all for $104.00 a month and get 10 extra gb's until july as a promotion. This is the best internet we have ever had.
beats dial up
Latency issues make it much slower than speed tests would indicate. 1.5 Mbps DSL actually faster in real time use. Download speeds of large packets is good, but then you burn through your data allowance. It's like having a vehicle that goes 200 mph, but only has a one gallon gas tank!
A really bad feeling from the beginning
Contacted local exede rep in Hamlet, NC. They called me back right away. After a lengthy conversation with "Tony" their sales rep. I decided against using Exede for the following reasons.
1. A really bad attitude problem. Like he was doing ME a favor selling me his service.
2. Lack of product knowledge, from no know the difference between download and upload rates, he insisted they offer 12 down and 4 up. I corrected him that it would be 12 down and 4 up. After arguing with me over this several minutes he realized his mistake. After checking their offerings they only offer a max of 12/3.
3. MANDATORY 2 YEAR CONTRACT. Told him I wanted a three month trial, he refused, again with a major attitude.
4. Wanted to run all new RG6 in my house. I ALREADY HAVE RG6 cable.
5. Asked for three references I could call, he said " No Problem at ". Another lie, emailed me later and told me they "have no customer records" ( yes, he really said this.)
Steer clear of these shysters... they are a rip off waiting to happen.
