Horrible Customer Service

It To A Friend?: No

With other listening options, Sirius isn't worth more than $10 a month. The problem is, I am offered the $135/year rate, but getting it isn't worth dealing with the wait time and stipulations customer service puts on you. After 10 years, Sirius is a habit I am going to give up. Just spent over 30 minutes of waiting and frustration on the phone. The hassle factor of getting the price I think is a fair value isn't worth it.

Wiring issues

Mar 30, 2017 by Carl Call

Many times I have talked to sirius and many times they try and resolve the issues with the words " but we will have to charge you" when this unit is under warranty. Ever year i end up with a new one. This last one has rewind. They said they would replace it with a stratus 7 at no charge. I told them where they can shove it. The problem is in the wiring every time. I asked them over and over many many times , have you made a heavier wiring kit . If not you need to take lessons from Direct Tv. The ONLY reason why I have them is for the NASCAR channel #90. Their welfare made wiring is a joke and I told them some one is gonna GET KILLED from playing with these wires while driving in traffic. Man up Sirius Satellite and learn how to make a better product. I tell everybody that ask me about Sirius Satellite , is it worth it ? Your product can make a nice Christian turn into Satan while trying to listen to Joel Olsteen and cuss in the most horrible manner possible , including the words "God Damn and Jesus Christ along with the F word. Sirius Satellite is a disgrace

Really BAD customer service

Mar 26, 2017 by Dan Cole

The horrible customer service alone is enough to make it not worth getting. The first Philippino guy was so hard to understand and he kept repeating the same script stuff over and OVER. He couldn't find my account, then couldn't find the order number, then after 27 min he says he has to transfer me. So I asked, will the new agent have all the info, oh yeah he will I've "put it in the notes"... Next Philippino guy, could at least speak plain English but had ZERO info, this is at the 33 min time frame. So I had to give it to him ALL over again, Then he want the unit number and the order number - I asked, do yuou not see it in the account I just verified for you? NO he says I'm in a different system. REALLY - you have no way of pulling that stuff up? Yeah I can he says but its easier to have you tell me. Oh hell NO you look it up. 10 seconds later, OK I have the info. You have to pay x amount, NO it was paid when the order for the second unit was made, just activate it. Nope you have to pay... Next the Manager - He wants ALL the same info and doesn't want to look it up either - NO you look it up it took your last brainiac 10 seconds after he didn't want to either... same thing, bout 10 seconds later, OK I have it but I want to make sure I'm activating the right one. REALLY - how many are on there? He says 2, I say corrent and the other one is active right? He say well - yeah! So then your not going to activate the wrong one, right. Well I still need to make sure the numbers match, OH you mean like the last two guys were going to do. So I break down and give it to him, oh well I cant find it on here... This is at the 49 min mark of the call. OH wait yeah it is... Unreal to say the least. I've had people tell me that this is why they don't bother with it. Why would a company as big as Sirius/XM allow such horrible customer service and base it in a place where no one can handle these calls or speak very well. Just makes no sense to me.

Cousin Brucey play 60's

Get Cousin Brucey to quit playing 50's music on the 60's channel or better yet move him to the 50's channel.

Poor reception

Mar 24, 2017 by Gwendolyn

Since about June 2016 the reception has been horrible. With a clear blue sky, interuptions occur for as long as 15 seconds. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason for it. I've read that cell phone towers could be the cause. I have check tower maps and there are none in the locations where my service is interrupted. When I had the fortitude to contact customer service, it was in a foreign country "Let me reset your signal." I did receive a call from an American once, after submitting a bad review. She was sympathetic and nice enough stating an engineer would contact me about my issue. I never heard from one. Then, they were "changing satellites" when my traffic stations weren't available. When I got traffic back, it was about a week later it disappeared, never to return I was told. My subscription came up for renewal last week; I canceled after 8 years.

I love the music but why do they talk so much? It's just like listening to the radio. Please please please stop talking and doing interviews. Just play music. Your dj's need to stop talking!

My father was using sirius when he was in a car accident January 20th 2016 and lost his life. This truck was destroyed. My mother a grieving widow finally realized March of 2016 that sirius continued to charge her for his truck. And when we called them it was our fault. And they "generously" credited ONE MONTH of charges back. They have been charging for over a YEAR. Please everyone beware. I'm just sick thinking about how many grieving families have fallen prey to this!!

Sirius XM Radio

Mar 10, 2017 by Lars Eif

I started my subscription for XM Sirius radio in 2013 with free service for a year. When the year was up, l renewed for one year for $165. What I got was a little receiver and a year's subscription for my house! They wanted an additional $120 to renew the service for my car. Being new to the satellite game, I said yes to both these offers.
Last year, I cancelled the subscription for my home receiver, but elected to keep the subscription for my car. Here is how it works: XM Sirius sends you an e-mail telling you that they will automatically charge your credit card for $229 about two months before the subscription runs out. Now, here's what I do: I call them up and scream and holler blue murder about how they are ripping me off. Then they ask me how much I am willing to pay for another year. I say 50 bucks! Last year, the rep said she couldn't possibly go that low, but for $78 she would give me a new year of sat radio, but I would lose the two months remaining on my present year. I agreed to that deal.
When renewal time comes up again, I will use the same tactic. If I can't stay under $10 per month, sat radio is not worth the money.
